Having heard old and not particularly good reviews about the Fox and Hounds we decided to give it a try last night. The change in management and attitude has really improved things. The staff were welcoming and couldn’t do enough to please. The food was delicious and served hot and quickly, with three portion size choices. Altogether a very pleasant dining experience.

Brilliant place, we turned up one night hoping for a table of seven, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating for to the point of even starting up the wood burner in the back room for us without us asking. There is a good selection on the menu and well priced as you do get a good plate full as I found out! The food was brilliant, i had a pulled pork sandwich which I have to say was the best I have eaten outside of the USA and I have eaten a lot of them! We can't wait to go back and try some more of their offerings and the carvery sounds fantastic!

Overbearing manager. Food took FAR too long to arrive and was passable at the best. My partner left hers. Food very overpriced. Felt very much like an outsider and as soon as locals came in,was pretty much ignored. Then the ultimate... we asked for 2 pints of soda water and was charged £3.40 for it. £1.70 a pint. Most pubs who have it on draught usually don't charge for it,some occassionally do up to about 80p a pint but £1.70 was taking the pi**. No encouragement for people to watch their alcohol intact or for that designated driver. We were not trying to go without paying for a drink ( I'm tea-Total and my partner was on strong antibiotics at the time) and we were very thirsty and this usually hits the spot. As a diabetic most of other drinks are rarely sugar free so this is usually my drink of choice. This was our monthly treat at eating out and a massive disappointment. We will not be returning again for sure.

Fantastic pub restaurant with great friendly, helpful staff. Delicious locally sourced food & drinks. The sizzling plates are a real showstopper
