This was a fantastic pub to go for a drink at, located conveniently around the corner from the train station! The design contributes to the lively atmosphere and the bar is well-presented, run by approachable staff. I had a pint of Corona Extra, sitting happily at a clean table using a placemat!Service: 5/5
Decent staff, friendly and welcoming. Good conversation. Would return when in the area.Food: 4/5
Family friendly pub, great place for an afternoon drink with the kidsService: 5/5
Went here before rugby a few weeks ago, never been in here before and really enjoyed it. Friendly staff and good choice of beer's.Service: 4/5
Dunno bout the woman but the guy behind the bar was definitely alright. So were the guests. Its easy to miss a train or bus when you are here though. If I ever come back to Redruth, this'll be the place to get a beer on the Monday afternoon
A bit rough and ready and run down. It didn't help that on my first visit the only other customer looked as though he had been there all day, clearly very drunk but the barman still served him more.Food: 1/5
Nice little pub only 5 mins walk from Redruth train station.
Very unfriendly landlady, I said hello and she just gave me a scowl and didn't say anything... The older man behind the bar was nice, but they didn't have any diet drink options unfortunately. Good for a casual drink.
Very good. I forgot I went there until this came up. I had a few pints in Camborne and got the train back to Redruth but by then things had started to go fuzzy. Stopped in The Oxford for one before walking home.
Worst pub in Cornwall. Landlady should have lost her licence when she nearly killed my son by allowing pub regulars to spike his drink, and serve him til he passed out on the floor. She then danced over his body, and 'T-bagged' him for a laugh all witnessed on cctv later at police station before dumping him on the street and refusing to call for an ambulance. Thanks to a passer by who demanded intervention, the air ambulance was called, and resuscitated him. When I arrived I was told by her not to make a scene as "do I know who I'm dealing with". Very intimidating woman. Avoid here at all costs.
