Story

Conveniently situated by the side of the main A40 at St Clears, in its own extensive grounds and private car park, the Forge Lodge and Restaurant sits at the gateway to Pembrokeshire and West Wales.
We offer quality accommodation in 18 modern ground floor lodges. Rooms are spacious, comfortably furnished with free wifi, freeview tv, and proper power showers .
Use of our fitness suite, swimming pool and sauna is complimentary to residents.
Our restaurant has established a reputation over half a century for quality home cooking. We are open 7 days a week 360 days of the year serving full meals, coffees & savouries from 7.30 am until 9.30 pm.
We offer a private function room, for family occasions, business meetings & conferences. It is entirely self contained with its own bar & wireless broadband.

Good, rather business style establishment. Motel type accommodation well off the busy road. Restaurant rather basic but serves quite good food.

A great place to stop when you want breakfast, You get a substantial amount and its delicious. I have called in here many times and not been disappointed , with friendly and helpful staff its always  nice to call in here as Pembrokeshire isn't very far away and my holiday is about to begin.

Stopped here for breakfast at around 7.15 in the morning after an extremely long car journey. Had a small wait as they were not open when we arrived. When we re-entered the building, a fresh table had already been prepared. We were seated and both ordered the full breakfast. Food came out incredibly quick and was excellent. Service was great and price was reasonable.

Lovely friendly staff, but it hasn't changed since I last went there with my grandmother in the late 1970s!! Decor in desperate need of updating but had a very nice cup of tea there

Range of food is pretty much a combination of grilled meat and chips, which isn't to say what's on offer isn't great - this was just a victim of circumstance as this was precisely about 3rd on the list of things I didn't want for dinner that evening.  The rest of the group seemed to enjoy themselves though.

Someone might need to take a look at the wifi set up though, as that appeared to be simultaneously working and yet not at the same time.
