Really really really really good food here. Had a birthday lunch and the staff were friendly and attentive, food was REALLY good (have I mentioned that?) and came with all sorts of lovely little sides and nibbles and good bits. Great menu, cute location in a tiny town. Had to knock off a star sadly as the food came out quite slowly, overall we had been there for about 1.5 hours by the time the mains came out. The servers were friendly and there are some rounds of nibbles to be had but it took a large chunk of our day overall.

Has recently been taken over by new management and is now a really nice restaurant as well as still having the bar area at the front. The food is out of this world, best scallops I've ever tasted. Great service too

Not very accommodating....with my wife and 13 year old daughter. Asked for a meal slightly more child friendly which as the pub was empty shouldn't have been that difficult. A toasted cheese sandwich or a burger would have been ok but no ...they suggested we went to the George and Dragon instead which is where we are now...and my advice ...go to the George and Dragon first.

Had a fantastic lunch, great surroundings, very tasty food and very attentive service. Not cheap but well worth the price.

Fabulous food and a friendly welcome from Daniel, Tash and Guy, plus their excellent staff. Canterbury is truly blessed to have this excellent pub so close by. The rosettes and stars will follow shortly!
