Canterbury west had good links to the high speed trains and the rest of the kent area along the coast. There is an option, for underground or over the bridge to cross over between the platforms. There are stuff members doted around the station. You can make payments via card or the cash booth at the station. But on line it’s quicker and a smooth transition
Good station with self-service machine, cafe and new refurbished toilet. They have photobox, bookshelf where you can take a book for some donation to the charity.
Always had a great experience whilst here. There is a restaurant outside Canterbury West if you're hungry or need a coffee. Only caveat of this station is that the ticket machines break quite frequently. If this happens at peak times, you can find enormous queues so make sure to allow enough time before your train to avoid disappointment
This train station is small and basic but staff are lovely, I left my phone on train getting off at canterbury, and staff immediately called it and I found out where it was, couldn't have been quicker. Security are also very nice even when it's busy and people are trying to jump the rails.
Step free access to platform 1 via the entrance and platform 2 via lifts. Toilets on platform 1.
A bit pricier than what you will find in Portugal but very friendly, helpful and happy to do so Great connections for getting back into London and Heathrow airport
Very friendly and helpful staff. The station itself is pretty small especially for such a major city with only 3 ticket machines usually already in use and more often than not just 1 staffed kiosk open - the London bound platform is often overcrowded and the barriers are a nightmare squeeze leading to the eyebrow-raisingly tight exit/entrance doors. Trains are frequent enough in both directions although the amazing high-speed service could do with at least 2 an hour instead of the measley 1. Missing it by seconds leads to a frustrating hour wait for the next. Platform 2 to Margate is laughably short and considering how often 12 carriage trains are rammed you'd think the platform would accommodate them instead of the back 4 coaches being unable to exit. Overall decent but the structure itself deserves a much needed upgrade to cope with the ever-growing footfall.
Nice and clean small railway station. As Canterbury is not a very big city you have everything within walking distance from this station. My son says on the outside it looks like a museum
Amazing place. If you want to have a rebreather from everyday stress of life/work, visit the canterbury west and explore their various tourist spots. I recommend to walk through the entire journey so you'll appreciate more of the beauty of the place.
Great customer service and the trains never have any signal problems, always on time.
