Such an amazing place! It was pouring rain, we were drenched and the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. However the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, not to mention super friendly! The food was extremely good. I highly recommend this place, a true 10/10.
What a gem of a place! We called in here after a days trip to Bristol. The owners are the most loveliest people I’ve ever met, and their staff are just as friendly too. The food is absolutely beautiful and all home made; proper pub food made with love. The prices are very reasonable too. I love the decor and ambience of the place; the regulars love to chat to us strangers too! Hands down recommend this place and will call again if in the area.
Bravo to the cook!!! Completely unexpected Superior food. Everything perfectly and carefully cooked with great combinations of flavours. We loved all the options we ordered and were really impressed. Oh and if you love dessert the selection is great and portions extremely generous! Our new favourite in the way from london to wales!
Really nice pub, with a large selection of beers. Burger in the photo was very nice, but the patty was undercooked for my liking. Friend had the Ribeye steak, very good.
Not the cheapest burgers around but could possibly be the best. Thanks for the great service from all the staff, and the medium rare burger was perfect for me but but maybe not for a different diner. Reordering drinks was made easy by caring and friendly bar staff. CURRENTLY offering simpler food menus on busier days
A very nice pub with rear beer garden. Good choice of real ales and very good food. Always lively but in a positive way. Perfect place for a pint or two and a nibble with your mates or a date. Could do better with better beer price but unfortunately covid tax is charged almost everywhere.
I've recently moved to Swindon and this is my favourite pub to eat at. They are welcoming, they do their best to sit you to eat, even if you're alone and willing to sit at the bar. They bend over backwards. The food is delicious and well priced. All this means that I'm less willing to try other places because the 5 times I've been there in the past 3 months, they've nailed it every time. I brought colleagues last time and they loved the food too.
Thank you so much for such a lovely meal last night. We’d been unexpectedly travelling all day, grabbed a sausage roll at lunch time and ended up by chance at The Five Bells, ready to eat. Friendly welcoming, loved the ‘it’s Thursday, this is tonight’s menu’ great selection and variety - and our meal was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!
A random selection for lunch on Sunday while visiting town to explore family history. Absolutely loved the roast lamb. Could not have been luckier to pick this intimate pub for some amazing food and friendly service.
Great real ale pub. Good selection of real ales. Friendly and welcoming staff. The food looked good but I didn't eat this time. Highly recommend this pub if you like your beers.
