A lovely town and place to stay. The Angel Hotel room we stayed in was the enhanced suite and was very comfy and plush indeed. There was however a couple of things that would have made our night and experience a little more pleasant. We did notice a noise throughout the night like a pump constantly whirling which was a little annoying and there was nothing to wipe your feet on when walking in from the patio. The pump we mentioned to the staff and they took this on board but overall this would NOT put us off from staying here again. Forgot to mention the breakfast was awesome and the bar sold real ales ;-)

Love this spot. Good clean rooms both inside main building and through the back. Have visited twice, both times during particularly cold spells, with icy snow outside, and the hotel/rooms/bar have been cosy and welcoming. Craft beers are available and menu from the first visit was particularly good

Enjoyed a long Sunday lunch here. Lovely food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Would like to see a house wine made available.

I will try and keep  my  review about my experience at the Angel Restaurant in Royal Wootton Bassett  short and to the point . 
Bar staff pleasant on arrival . 
Impression of Manager aloof  seemed reluctant to let us into restaurant as they were expecting a party of 11. Even though there was no one else in the restaurant when we arrived.
 Were shown to a table and left. After about five minutes we managed to catch the eye of a passing member of staff and asked for a menu.
We kept it simple and both had a  home made burger and my friend asked for another glass of wine.
After the meal arrived a staff member asked if the meal was okay. That was the last of the service we were given. No one around to ask for condiments or more drinks. After eating we went and asked for the bill and were overcharged for a glass of wine. I  went to the bar to pay  and the staff disputed the fact that we had not had another drink until they realised we had paid for our first  drink at the bar .To top off an appalling experience both my friend and I were up all night with severe cramps and vomiting. Not an experience I would like to repeat. I would never recommend this establishment or ever contemplate  revisiting this  place again!

Great place and very popular for a coffee and lunch with friends. The staff are very efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is always welcoming. D60
