Lovely place , unfortunately I haven't eaten there for a long while but at the time I did , the food was good . Last visit was on Straw Bear day and the place was absolutely packed inside and out !! and it took ages to be served , so it's unfair of me to score them on that , but when I've been there for a drink the service is spot on . Great staff and a great place , keep up the good work

This review is for the pub not accomodation. Great atmosphere. Friendly professional staff, food excellent value. We shall soon be visiting again. And it was brilliant seeing the recent revamp. Thank you guys. Really good.
This review is based on the restaurant, not the accomodation side. Have eaten here a few times now including an evening meal and Sunday lunch. We have also had Sunday lunch to take away. Meals here are good value and the food is well cooked, good pub grub. It hasn't got frills and doesn't need them as it does exactly what it sets out to. Staff are lovely and the owner did a huge amount for the community here during lockdown and since. It shows you what type of people they are

Stayed 2 nights in a twin room with en suite shower room. Good size. Nice breakfast included in the price. Friendly staff. Large car park so no trouble parking.Rooms: 4/5
First visit to eat and the last! Young barmaid/receptionist/waitress was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. However, avoid scampi and Spring rolls. Both were deep-fried to death and then some. Contents of Spring rolls had vapourised and scampi batter was virtually unbreakable and inedible. Hopefully this was a blip - perhaps the chef's night off.
Great public house lady member of staff made me particularly welcome as did 2 or 3 of the regulars. The lady staff member behind the bar even gave me 4 new face masks one of which was a face shield Another lady helped me to fix my Android phone, I was extremely grateful. I heartily reccomend this pub for a visit. Good ales Food served up to a reasonable time in the afternoon. Great service !!
