Story

One of the hidden secrets of central London, The Vincent Rooms restaurant offers an exclusive dining experience and the highest levels of service in the beautiful surroundings of Vincent Square in London’s SW1. Meet some of the country’s finest young chefs before they embark on their future careers in the Hospitality and Culinary Arts industry around the world.

Offering two unique dining experiences and a menu that changes on a daily basis, guests can enjoy dining in the modern European-style brasserie or the intimate surroundings of the Escoffier Room, with the best in contemporary cuisine freshly prepared by Westminster Kingsway College’s second and third year chef students, under the supervision of experienced chef lecturers, with the front of house service delivered by Hospitality students and lecturers. Alumni from this award-winning College restaurant include Dennis Mwakulua, Sophie Wright, Ben Murphy, Jamie Oliver and Ainsley Harriott.

Such a great experience, and so reasonable!! £35 for 5 courses with the whole service being run by the 2nd year students, overseen by the lecturers. The weeks are themed and I booked this German week as my husband loves the cuisine. They don't turn tables and you can only book 6-7pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays not sure what time lunch service is. The food was really good. The wild boar schnitzel and Kirsch and chocolate dessert were standouts. A couple of dishes could've done with a little more seasoning, but hey, the quality for this price is fantastic. The service was really endearing too. The guy on the table next to us said he tries to go once a month, "support the young guys"!! I wish I could as they seem to be really booked up and we'd love to go back to see whether there is a difference towards the end of their year. Highly recommend!! Edit: we came again 6 months later and the difference is very distinct. Great to see progression, and the food was absolutely amazing.
Wedding Reception at The Escoffier Room - 10/10 5 Stars! In October 2021 we got married and held our reception at The Escoffier Room - what a fantastic decision that was! From our initial enquiry with Marc Whitley restaurant manager and senior lecturer, through planning our menu and canapes with the wonderful Head Chef Jonny Jonathon Warner, choosing the wine to be served with the food, selecting the welcome drinks and even planning a photo slideshow and personalised music playlist, all the staff and students couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had the most amazing day! My wife and I ! enjoyed a beautiful wedding day, in no small part thanks to the magnificent efforts of Marc, Jonny, and all the students at The Escoffier Room. This restaurant is a real hidden gem in the heart of London. I first took my now wife here on a date in an attempt to impress her while we were dating - little did we know that we’d return multiple times, and eventually celebrate our wedding here! Marc was incredibly helpful and attentive in the planning stages of our big day. He is experienced and confident in organising events and so brought a much needed calmness and confidence to our often last minute decision making in the build up. Marc and Jonny organised wine and menu tastings for us, showcasing the restaurants excellent selection of wines and incredible food. The food Jonny and the students produced for our wedding meal was incredible. Words cannot do it justice, you really do have to experience the delicate flavours and impeccable presentation for yourself. During our main course the father of the bride was heard to say “This food is amazing, fine dining in England isn’t dead!”. And to be honest, there wasn’t much to be heard during the canapes as our guests were busy enjoying how delicious they were! The students served our guests with a smile on their faces and professionalism in their manner. The service was top quality and worthy of any 5 star hotel restaurant in any major city of the world. We are so grateful to Marc, Jonny, the students, and all the back room staff at The Escoffier Room for looking after us so well during our wedding celebrations - thank you! xx
Lovely eatery that is run by students from the Westminster Kingsway College. We went during their special Korean Cuisine Week. We had oxtail soup, korean dumplings, Samyetang, Bibimbap,sweet pancakes and sweet rice dessert. It cost is £21 per person and alcoholic mixed drinks are £7 each. Great food and amazing students
This place is fantastic. Fantastic in that the food is provided by trainee chefs and fantastic they have this opportunity to show case their vast talents. The restaurant is classic white cloth with menus rotating every week depending on the food theme. It was Carribean when went and the food was simply wonderful. This is an absolute bargain as the plates are worth many times over for the price. Only downside is it is small so gets booked up quickly, but it's a minor problem!
This is a restaurant staffed by Students at the Kingsway College catering school, and offers reasonably priced set menus, with a different theme each week. Our theme was 'Game', and the food was delicious, with a choice of meat or vegetarian options for each course. Reasonable wine selection at fair prices. Visited on a Wednesday evening with my Wife and two friends. Staff / Students were lovely, including our Sommelier, who actually didn't look old enough to buy a bottle of wine herself, but was mos to helpful to us. All of us enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend, thanks!
The ambience is that if a hall rather than an intimate restaurant, as it is a teaching college. The team did their best to accommodate my glutenfree request. Each dish tasted surprisingly good...maybe they have a new chef! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pumpkin starter was cooked to perfection and delicious. Dietary restrictions: As I was glutenfree the fish crust was removed for me. The pollock dish was so tasty I was surprised.
This is a college for Students in the hospitality industry. We had a great lunch cooked and served by keen students. The menu included six courses for £35 a bargain for London. One of Londons hidden secrets. Highly recommended give it a go

As part of Westminster Kingsway College's world class catering programme, the Tea rooms give the students valuable practice in providing a first rate service. You'll need to book a couple of MONTHS in advance though which gives you an idea of its popularity. If you can't wait however, install the "too good to go" app and reserve a grab bag of recently baked treats :
Extremely rude waiter commenting about photos in a very discourteous manner, and implying that he endorses infidelity. The room may be beautiful but the atmosphere is not.
