Seriously worth going into this shop. It has fantastic stock, all really fascinating stuff considering antiques are not my thing at atall, I’m 29 years old. The main attraction for me was all the incredible taxidermy animals. I enjoyed this shop so much that I’ve asked my parents for a few items for my Christmas and birthday presents! I really think taxidermy animals are my new craze, as I’ve never liked them before because I’m an animal lover. I couldn’t leave the store without a mouse ! I will be returning
This is an absolutely brilliant antiques shop! A really stunning and unique array of items, and although the prices were generally pretty high, I wouldn’t say that they were unreasonable- for example £30 for a pretty nice 1 oz silver coin is not bad at all. Really interesting display if taxidermy, coins, antique silverware, art, weapons, firearms, war antiques and furniture.
We would like to wish all our customers a HAPPY NEW YEAR! We look forward to seeing all our regulars and meeting all new customers in the coming year. We are open 10.30 - 4 daily. Closed Sundays. Please note: We are closed on Thursdays during January and February. Message to DAN! We dont know who you are or why you have made such 'Slanderous' accusations towards 'The Emporium'. Your review is total fiction! We have been in business in Machynlleth for over 6 years, eBay for more than 10 years and have a good track record with both. We can only assume you have an ulterior motive for your ludicrous comments and have reported your 'Libelous' review and comments to Google.
One of the more interesting antique and collectibles shops I have had the pleasure of visiting. I look forward to being able to visit again in the future.
Visited today. Fantastic shop. Bought a picture. It was given to me without any wrapping or offer of a bag. I didnt have a bag. When I asked if it could be wrapped please, I was looked at as if I had 6 heads. The female disgruntled when I said they sell crockery, surely they have some wrapping, she then wrapped one thin piece of bubble wrap around the picture and handed it over. Seriously guys... You need to wrap the customers goods if they are breakable etc. Please don't talk about saving the planet, use recycled and recyclable stuff. Will not return.
Visited today. I noticed an item there for £125. I have have a number of interesting items including a Victorian silver letter opener and plate, and some 1950s Flying Mercury car badges. I live in Aberdyfi and will be coming back shortly to see if I can strike a deal.....
Great treasure trove of all sorts. Finally found my super squirrel aswell
Loved this shop! Lots of really nice items, great variety and affordable prices! We explored it with curiosity and hope to come back some time.
Great store. Has an awesome variety of artifacts. My personal favourites were the weapons. The staff were kind and friendly, would definitely visit again
In reply, the reason why I asked for packaging was because my bag was full and in fact broke in front of you. You suggest the plastic bubble wrap you used to wrap once around my picture is worth more than the £12 I paid for the picture. So, either you overpriced your stock, or you pay extortionate amounts of money for your bubble wrap. Save the planet??? Hardly.
