Meirion Mill

About

Mill Shop and Cafe at Dinas Mawddwy on the A470 at the Southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

Story

Once the terminus of the Old Mawddwy Railway, Meirion Mill has a wealth of history. At the entrance is the Pack Horse bridge dating back to the 17th century. The mill itself was originally used for slate production, later woollen cloth making. Now it houses our shop with a huge range of gifts, crafts, knitwear, throws and clothing for all the family. There is ample free parking, and woodland walk to a stone which marks the site of King Arthur's last battle at Camlan.

Lovely little cafe at the back of the main shop. Had coffee and cake which was very nice
Excellent products for fair prices and a lovely cafe too. A great stop.
Nice to walk around offering lots of products, from baths toiletries, perfumes, clothing, homeware, etc...has a cafe too! Big free car park .
Lovely safe Covid-19 location with relaxed atmosphere . The Mill was filled with very reasonably priced items. Great shop to buy small and larger Christmas gifts. Very helpful staff. Nice café. Toilet hand was broken and toilet area I was in was wet with urine. Not pleasant. Toilets need more regular husbandry and attention. Would definitely visit again.
Absolutely brilliant place for gifts, went back twice while on holiday, some great Christmas presents. Staff quite offish and just there to take money with little communication. Man in cafe was lovely and very helpful.
Lovely shop with lots of clothing, slippers and gift ideas. Cafe is really nice, delicious coffee and cake and helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend a visit.
Interesting shop with lots of unusual products. Several Welsh lines sold. The cafe is very good. Exceptionally clean, prompt friendly service, great bacon baps! Loads of parking.
Great selection of wools, gifts, etc. Cafe also excellent.
Called in for a coffee but sat in our coats as it was cold, drinks and cake were lovely and some great items in the shop
A wonderful friendly place full of fantastic sheepskin products. Lots more to look at inside. Great stop for a campervan as they have a big carpark with no height restrictions. Lots of local products inside including cards for special occasions. Cafe dine in and also takeaway drinks. Toilets.
