Lovely Chinese/Thai restaurant. My first time here, would definitely go again. We had sweet bread for starter, with chilli sauce. What can I say this was the most delicious bread I've ever ha!. Why do other restaurants not do them! We had the Prawns wrapped in filo pastry with chilli sauce. Black bean beef, fried rice, sticky rice and pork loin You won't be disappointed if you eat here, the chairs are comfortable, the are toilets clean. Everything is as a restaurant should be exceptional and not over priced with the waitress double checked our order, overall very efficient and pleasant staff. 5 from me
Nice chinese food with lots of flavour and well cooked. Recommended the chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce and the pork with green pepper and black bean sauce.
Disappointed. I have eaten in the restaurant before and had no complaints so I decided on a takeaway. I pre ordered for delivery at 7pm, food turned up at 6pm instead. Food was luke warm, there was barely any sauce with my beef with green pepper and black bean sauce, there also only appeared to be one tiny bit of pepper in it and the chips were cold. There was a good amount of beef and the egg fried rice was nice as was the duck fried rice. The free prawn crackers were appreciated but all in all based on the price and the amount of complaints I won't be ordering again.
Visiting for the first time for my fiancée's birthday. The table service was prompt and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious! The servings were more than ample, had to get some out into take away containers as we couldn't eat it all. Over all the price was average £20 per head including drinks. Overall a really good night out well worth a visit. We will use them for take away and will edit review then to reflect this.
Went to the elephant over the weekend, service was very poor had to wait over 2 hours for a starter, 45 minutes to take our drinks order, really shame because the food is very good. There was 2 large tables they could not cope. They usually manage small tables well.
On appearance walking up to the restaurant, it was nice and welcoming. We got inside and we were shown our table, We ordered our drinks which was two pint lager and lime for me and the wife and two orange juice for our kids. the lagers were brutally warm but i did not say anything. They took our orders for the starters which i thought was nice but the seaweed was burnt. Then we ordered our main course which took forever to come and bits at a time and one that never came but got refunded for it. the broccolli and mushroom tasted burnt. the thai green curry was absolutely salty and the chicken balls were hard and chicken inside was salty. The dessert was a let down as well-the coconut shell ice cream had frost on it-like its melted and frozen again. the kids had a scoop of ice cream which tasted powdery like not well mixed-probably home made. It's a shame cause the restaurant was really nice inside and we spent a lot of money and we did not get any satisfaction!!!!
I am appalled with this place, we waited over 3 hours for our food, I rang the restaurant and the lady said the reason why is because it’s raining and the driver won’t come yet. When it arrived not only was it COLD but the chicken was un edible we took 1 mouthful and had to throw it away. I immediately called the restaurant for a refund and the lady was giving me excuses why she can’t. Never will I ever order from here again. Im not one to write a bad review as I have a business myself and having a business myself the first thing I do is make my customers happy. This is something this restaurant couldn’t do. I ended up having to order dominos which came in 25 mins.
This place has gone downhill. Lovely friendly waiter, and portions were generous, but I don't know what the meat was in my dish, but it wasn't lamb, bit soft n slimy.Food: 3/5
Amazing food. Staff very friendly. A little pricey but portions are pretty large! Have been several times...my Grandson's aged 11 favourite restaurant! Best to reserve a table.
Went on a weekday so even though we’d booked, it was very quiet- only 3 other tables. Food was excellent and I’ve had a takeaway from here before so I knew portions were big. There’s no parking which is a problem during bad weather. The only thing that spoiled it for me that even though it’s a large restaurant- they put us next to a group of rowdy men. It made conversation hard. But I’ve noticed restaurants do group people together for ease of service. I’d go again.
