We have used this restaurant a few times before and were always pleased. Tonight was a disgusting service. We went for a take out. We waited 1.5 hours!!! (Didn't realise it was that long until we checked). The people that arrived after us at tables for their food were served first. Including a massive table of about 12 that clearly knew the owners. When my husband chased it up, they simply said we're sorry, we are busy, it's nearly ready. That did not explain why the seated tables that arrived and ordered after us were served first! Of course, had they said would be an hour and a half.... We would have left it! We won't be going back there! I've given it 1 star because you can't post it unless you rate it!

Three of us went in on a Saturday night for a takeaway and it was a joke, the place was half full and the atmosphere was sterile. Was served by -no lie- an eight year old girl who was being assisted by about a 16 year old. Food took over an hour, perhaps due to the fact the little girl clearly doesn't know who to (and also legally shouldn't) serve customers and forgot to put our order through. When the 45 minute mark hit we asked for some money back and instead were offered a soft drink we said no thanks. When the hour mark hit we reasoned that it shouldn't take this long to cook six dishes, we were offered a meagre 10% back and told that it was the dumplings that are taking so long. I replied that I make my own dumplings at home and they take 10 minutes to which the owner got sarky and rude, saying 'oh well next time I'll come to you for dumplings seeing as you know so much'. All in all East Garden clearly can't cope with a simple takeaway and I'm surprised they get repeat custom.

Chinese restaurant with nice food but have bumped their prices right up so ends up very expensive

9 of us went for a family meal. Plenty to eat, Thai green curry was hot but best flavour. Would go again, very friendly staff. Didn't take advantage of the karaoke machine.
