Only been to the coffee shop but lovely place. Great food, good value, friendly service. Bit hidden away in middle of the town but worth looking out for. Hotel looks fab too. Excellent meringues!!

Beautiful hotel, lovely people. Stunning decor and a very relaxing stay. An individual hotel with style and class. Highly recommended.

Really nice atmosphere and the food was fantastic! Great selection of wines and the staff were very friendly. My only negative is I'd have liked a bit more on the plate. Even for high quality food, the plate was rather empty.

Was good overall. Service was great. We had the opium suite. On check in I noticed an amazing looking afternoon tea, which would have been ideal. However couldn't have as it required notice (which of course I couldn't give as we were only staying one night and 24 hours is extremely excessive for afternoon tea)so we got shown to our room and ordered room service which we had to alter a lot due to the cafe running out of a lot of ingredients( white bread/ tomatoes etc) The toilet being downstairs was an issue due to the weather. No robes or slippers are provided. Do take some because the floor is freezing and I had only taken tights with me!! So then risked slipping down the painted stairs to pop to the toilet in my fiance's socks! The tea and coffee is a bit rationed, however they do provide fresh milk which is nice. The hairdryer is terrible take your own! And if you want a romantic night then wait until he is upstairs before you go to the loo... with the lamps on in the lounge and the light on in the bathroom, it's see through. ... not only that but directly opposite the door... do make sure that the blind on the front door is shut too!! The decor is lovely. The choccy cats are beautiful and the breakfast is amazing. ( even though the cafe is open to everyone and a woman with a badly behave dog sat next to us on a muddy day so the dog ruined my shoes) Credit where credit is due. The place is lovely. Just feels almost unfinished in certain areas.

Disappointed with our afternoon tea was expecting something luxurious but was very run of the mill. Crockery like any naff cafe not like a chic boutique hotel Will never come again and don’t recommend Was a real let down for my grandmas 80th birthday which she was verydisappointed over. Gluten free scones like hard bricks especially when ordered in advance
