Best cheese toastie ever! Popped in for a quick bite, but there was no food menu available I believe they didn't have a chef. But were offering toasties... yummy yummy, highly recommended. Friendly staff informed me that she use apple cheddar cheese and some other cheese, sorry can't remember which. Please don't stop making these...I love them Grungy, quirky pub, I remember it from years and years ago... local labour party pub then!
Generally only one real ale on tap at a time, but kept well. The little garden out at the back is nice for catching some sunshine on a rare warm day in London. The cheese toasties are expensive but extremely delicious.
Decent pub, good aperol spritz! Good vibes on a Saturday night
Another solid Bethnal Green pub. Ceiling is a bit too distressed for me, but the drinks are fine and the rest of the decor is nicely done. Enjoyed watching a couple of good ol' boys making the most of their Saturday afternoon pints when I visited.
The IPA is one of the best Pale Ales in London. Deep in the heart of historic East London. Here is a pub with secreted DJ box. Neon signs point to an upstairs, which probably has it's own secrets. Great and good furnishings wood flooring and panelled portraits. Lovely....
Been going here for years to watch football with a nice pint. Went recently and they wouldn't put the sound on for the game.
On our way to the Viktor Wynd museum, we stopped here to enjoy a coffee what a strange idea we had. The staff was very nice and friendly, we got our drinks seating in the main room, watching the old ceiling, the paintings hanging on the walls. We didn't try the beers had too many before but they have at least 3 craft beers at the bar.
A quiet Saturday lunchtime would have been quieter had West Ham not been entertaining Chelsea on BT Sport. Must have been 7 or 8 customers watching the game taking place just a couple of miles away. The pub seems quite dilapidated but not without charm. Almost feels like it was abandoned for 20 years and someone found the key and opened up. The keyholders seemed to be two young hipster types, friendly and keen to serve. Without a well kept cask beer on ELB Foundation it probably wouldn't have registered more than 2 stars for me but the beer was decent. A second handpump was serving cider out of a bag but I'm guessing most of their market is for keg craft beer and cheap lager. They had a variety of cheese-based toasties on offer but I headed off after a couple of pints and a bag of nuts. Televised Premier League football was not enough to keep me sat there any longer.
Have been going for years mainly because I always feel safe as a woman and queer person at the Dundee. The staff and manager are lovely. It’s a great place to watch football or have a night out. Can’t recommend it enough.
Great, relaxed, late, local bar. Friendly bar staff. Good selection of beers.
