Worst fish and chips I've experienced. Had to search through all the crispy, broken up bits of chip to actually find a full size one, and then it was so crunchy there was no potato left inside. The fish, although looked good, had very little fish in and was very dry and overcooked. Very underwhelmed. Most went in the bin.
We pre ordered our fish and chips for 10 people the night before, the next day at lunch we collected it the lady was very nice and the food was ready and tasted great, thank you.
Ordered over £40 worth of fish & chips. By far it's the worst we've ever had! The food was cooked in OLD oil! Chips were non existent and the fish batter was terrible!!!!! I was going to drive back but unfortunately it was CLOSED! not sure how this place got such high reviews.
Average fish and chips. More scrappy bits than actual chips and fish very greasy. Service slow as everything cooked as you wait but unfortunately not cooked very well. Also we were charged for peas that we didn't get. Are the owners new to this business? Shame
This was the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. We were staying at exe valley caravan park and decided to have our regular Fri night meal. The people who own and run this business needs to look at their priority using chips that have been pre fried pryer to re cooking just to get them crisp does not work. My family has run fish and chip shops over the years and never served food as disgraceful as this and to top it off they are so disorganised how they stay open is beyond me ps they need someone has have been in the profession to help them . the
Sorry I don't like leaving low reviews but in this occasion I have no choice.First night on Exmoor arriving @ 1500 last Saturday 30th July ,so we fancied some fish and chips to kick off the weeks break.Not enjoyable at all leaving two family members not even able to discuss a fish supper again so far this week.We live in the landlocked Midlands & tbh our local chippie is far better even though we are miles from any coastline.Also hair nets should be compulsory when working with food if not already. as none being worn.Needs mentioning!
Waited outside in the rain for 30 minutes. A local lady who had apparently ordered via telephone received her order well before any of the many people waiting outside. When we arrived back to our accommodation there was no fish...so paid an extortionate price for our order. When I rang to explain we had no fish was told that we hadn't ordered it and maybe the man didn't hear us ask for it. The man didn't take the order , the lady who I was speaking to did ! Appalling service, terrible wait time and mediocre overpriced food. Would definitely not return or recommend. ....Response to the owner with all due respect this isn't your first bad review
Went to the dulverton chippy with the family as have heard how good it is and they didn't disappoint! freshly cooked fish and chips, very tasty indeed! Highly recommend
Great food... Mostly freshly cooked while you wait... Reasonably priced and a minutes walk from the river which is beautiful to sit by whilst you eat your food!
Fabulous meal our family had.was very busy when we turned up.we waited about twenty mins to get out tea.10/10 .cooked fresh.delicious.Even the kids cleared their plates .Staff were very cheerful polite.will def be back
