Couldn't believe how and why it was so empty. The restaurant was so busy most days of the week when I lived on the island and was passing by, we went for a Saturday evening meal, and there were only two other tables occupied. The last time I ate here was over twenty years, back then, it was a local favourite and Charlie was the perfect host. Anyway, the food was outstanding and there was plenty of it, some of the best I've had, outside of Soho. Staff were attentive, overly so actually and to our amusement, I felt like a scolded child, being told that I was ordering too much, that made me laugh a lot. All in all, it is still as good as it was all those years ago.
I miss the deep fried coconut cream. Service was lovely and the food hit the spot.
I have been coming to this Chinese for around 20 years now and it never ceases to impress me. It’s so good that it’s ruined all other Chinese meals for me as I automatically compare them to The Dragon.nnWe have celebrated countless birthdays and taken many people, both locals and visitors here for dinner. Everyone has always been extremely happy with their experience. Even my 80 year old grandparents enjoy it and they’re notoriously anti-takeaways.nnThere is nowhere on this God-forsaken island that is more special than here. I live in London now but The Dragon is somewhere I always return to when visiting my parents. I love you and your food, please never change.nnI implore everyone to order from here. I cannot see how you could be disappointed. P.S. the mandarin ribs will change your life.
Can only comment on Take away as haven't used restaurant for a long time. Take away is very good but a bit on the pricey side. Our orders which are usually quite large have always been correct.
Great take away. Nice staff. We drive about 5 miles to this one, although there are closer Chinese shops
