We were given a gift voucher for a wedding gift. We went last night. On arrival we were blown away by the beautiful Christmas decorations, both outside and inside. Stunning. Two real fires kept going all night. The food was amazing. We had starters and the carvery. The waitress couldn't do enough for us. Superb. Good value for money both drinks and food. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be returning.
Paid £20 for a Christmas carvery and disco. Had a great night, food was good, plenty of it and well cooked. Veg wasn't over cooked and the meat melted in my mouth. The service was excellent. There were a lot of guests so there was a queue but we didn't have to wait too long. All the staff were very approachable and couldn't do enough to help. The DJ went around the tables asking for song ideas which led to some awesome music, the dance floor was packed all night. What a great night. Thank you all at the Down Inn.
This was my 3rd visit here for a Christmas meal with entertainment with my over 50s club and it was brilliant as always. The best carvery we go to! Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Fantastic value in a beautiful setting.
Great carvery. Don't know how they serve so many people within such a short time in the banqueting suite. There was around 100 of us. Food doesn't disappoint. We will be back again next year.
Wonderful country inn, carvery with veggie and vegan options too. Nice rooms to stay in too. We have stayed here a number of times now, but this is the first time in about 8 years. And returned again 3 months later between Xmas and NY, the restaurant was beautifully decorated with lights, tree and other Xmas decorations. Real fires added to the ambience.
What can i say. Just seen new year in here with family & loved every min.Rooms are lovely. Food & entertainment was spot on considering age range was 52 to 85. Staff are lovely. Really helpful. Nothing too much trouble. All very pleasant & polite. Will def visit again. Highly recommend
Lovely carvery. The food was well cooked & tasty. A selection of 3 meats & a great selection of vegetables to choose from. The desserts were very varied & reasonably priced. Recommended.
A Country pub / hotel ,we were greeted in a friendly welcoming manner, the room was large,clean with a very comfortable bed ,& ensuite. If I had any complaint, as were a little older the TV could have been a little bigger ,but we weren't really there to watch the TV. The food was 1st class ,my husband had off the menu ,I had a carvery and breakfast was great too, more than either of us could manage .The Down Inn is just over 1 mile from the beautiful town of Bridgnorth. My husband and I if visiting Bridgnorth would definitely look to calling in here to eat .Thankyou to everyone who made our stay a pleasure .
Beautiful bar, fantastic food. Best carvery I've had in a long time and all of the staff are amazing! Will most certainly be coming again!
Great carvery.Never mean with meat All vegetables and potatoes Excellent.Staff friendly.And set in a lovely location. As long as everything stays like it is me and my wife will aleays visit The Down Inn
