A really cosy and comfortable B&B, just a few minutes drive outside Bridgnorth, with plenty of parking available. The service throughout our stay was superb. The cooked breakfast we enjoyed each morning was fantastic, with the dining area offering lovely views of the surrounding rural area. If we need to stay in or around Bridgnorth in the future, we will definitely look at the Swan again!
Absolutely lovely room! Everything I wanted and the mattress was absolutely fantastic don't think I have slept so well in a long time, it was lovely and clean. The only downfall was because I booked using a third party they didn't make us aware the pub wasn't open at all. Obviously not the owners fault but I would definitely rebook if we could use the rest of the facilities
Very basic. No shower, poor towels, no soap , shampoo or tissues. Tiny room, sparse breakfast. Not recommended.Rooms: 1/5
Full disclaimer: When booking I selected the No Breakfast option as it was significantly cheaper, however I had not spotted the information further down the page which also highlighted there would also be no bar open. I had expected a place with a welcoming atmosphere but it was totally shut. However, this was very clear at time of booking so was my error. If you are expecting a pub atmosphere make sure you make the booking including the bar, or book somewhere else. The room was basic but fine. However I dont think it is unreasonable to expect a place that describes itself as a pub to have some form of atmosphere on a sunny Friday evening with a beer garden that over looks the Severn. Whilst I appreciate I didnt book an option that included a bar, I have never in my life booked to go to a bar or pub. A restaurant maybe, a B&B for sure. But not a pub. The landlady mentioned that the pub does not have regular hours which probably does not help build up any atmosphere. I was welcomed to the B&B by a coded door, it felt like I was the only person in the building. Perhaps its just great sound insulation! I think this place could be an absolute gem with some care to creating atmosphere. Not many pubs have such great views from a beer garden, on a conservatory.
Staff friendly and helpful. Cleanliness in room could be improved. Room 1 electric shower was either boiling or freezing. Breakfast good though. Plenty of parking.Rooms: 3/5
Very nice landlord and Landlady. Great shooting game. Very nice food. However, the price of the soft drinks is very expensive, half a pint of lemonade, coke etc was £2.40.
Lovely pub and b&b overlooking the river Severn. We had a short break and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. Room was cosy, beds really comfy! Meals breakfast and dinner amazing!
We had 2 nights at the swan at £90 a night , we entered by a coded door, room 3 ,very dated and filthy cobwebs above the bed and behind the bedside tables looked liked they never been hoovered for months , even the tv had dust on it , the shower was just a trickle and the towel I used smelt of sweat and was as rough as sandpaper we complained and a lady apologised and bought us 2 more that smelt like chemicals and just as rough , I’ve given 2 stars as the breakfast was tasty after the hair were removed from both
I wouldnt even give you a one star as soon as we entered the hotel it had a verry unwellcoming atmosphere where as the rooms were verry dirty the bedding were matted from not washing them i assume Bar cafe etc closed down no one to be found on the premises all by yourself landlady seemed to be stuck in mid centry the smell was HORRIBLE if anyones looking for a horror like hotel and to waste your money then enjoy but never coming back here again should be closed down
Friendly polite service. It was well paced prompt but no rush at all. The food was well prepared and presented. Yes, it tasted great! Nice surrounding as well. The weather wasn't great but can't blame the owners. Even so it's a nice InnService: 4/5
