This morning at half past eight when the surgery opens I began to phone to try and get an appointment as they won't prescribe my anti depressants without a follow up dicsussion as I have just been changed onto new ones. I phoned 17 times before finally getting an answer and when I did I was told than within half an hour ALL appointments for the day were taken. I get ONE day off during the week which is Monday, I cannot go to the doctors any other day of the week. So now after phoning non stop for half an hour I have to wait another whole week WITHOUT MEDICATION and just hope that I can get my phonecall answered before they book up again next Monday! I have been searching online for half an hour trying to find a way to complain about this surgery as being on anti depressants is a serious thing and I can't just go a week or maybe even more without them! The staff are rude and completely not helpful. Would not recommend this surgery to anyone! They are always booked up before 9am even if you've been calling non stop. They are ALWAYS running over an hour late and some of the doctors have no compassion.

I have been with the surgery for about 30 years. Fortunately I have not had to visit on a regular basis, but whenever I have phoned up for an appointment, I have got one almost straight away (this is provided you do not need to see a particular doctor, which I realise is not ideal for people with long-term problems). The waiting room is pleasant, with comfortable chairs but my experience is that I have not often had to wait long. I have never experienced any rudeness or unhelpfulness from any of the staff!

Tried for two months to get an appointment. When I finally did see a doctor they spoke over me when I had concerns and questions about my medication.

My experience of Dower House Surgery. The desk staff assistant that dealt with my appointment was unpleasant and rude. The nurse who dealt with my lifelong medical condition hardly spoke to me, the questions I needed answers to and that are important to me were brushed aside. I felt like an inconvenience to her. I will not be going back there.

Sub standard surgery. Receptionists are rude and unhelpful (not all of them to be fair) Appointments are a nightmare to make, if you phone up at 8.30 you don't get told which doctor you are seeing. Very outdated and gone down hill so much!
