This pub is on the main road hill top it has it's own car park for quite a few cars. Inside a bar, dining room, party room and Carvery room. Nice clean atmosphere friendly staff, Chinese eat-in and take away. Kids menu available. Carvery has four types of meat and boiled vegetables, mash and gravy. Very delicious must try.Food: 5/5
Honestly the worst place I’ve gone, the roast potatoes were cold the beef and turkey was stone cold and hard and the Yorkshire pudding were soggy definitely won’t come back again. The cook walked off from us when we tried to speak to us and when the lady from behind the bar actually got the manager the lady didn’t even pay attention to me just said give her cash and walked off.
Had a gorgeous Sunday dinner there today. Everything cooked to perfection. Best I've tasted in the Sandwell area. Highly recommend
The meat is giving out like rations the carvery was more cold than the titanic and staff thought it was funny and laughed about it..wouldnt even take my dogs there to be honest..the dining room was more cold than outside.the carpets are older than david dickinson..unexceptable and avoid like covid.oh and I don't even drink alcohol as got a bad heart so nice try with your lies..your pub is victorian inside and this isn't the only review stating that your food is cold and we definitely will go somewhere else and any recommendations to people around West Bromwich won't include yours. and online bullying..lmfaooooo.I've simply left a negative review which isn't against the law and the truth is obviously something you don't like.‍..your food was cold.your carpets are sticky and old..the place was cold and the staff were rude and the servings were rations.end of. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option is just vegarables and pasta
Always have a fantastic choice of meat and vegetables and you can also have cottage pie which is delicious. Staff always seem happy and helpful. Will keep going back for more.
I would firstly like too say well done too the chef and her well manage kitchen and staff . It's a Sunday roast that is better then all the big names like Toby and harvester. I couldn't improve it slightly and I am very hard too please . Now you lost stars through other members of staff. Being watched from the stairs every mouth full of food you take is embarrassing . Staff should be told too clean or find them something more entertaining too do . Highly recommended too lose the staff that just watch people eat. The next is music is played too high for a restaurant . I come too talk too friends and family not listen too the radio with my meal. Chef you saved the review from no stars . If it was based on cooking you would be 5 star . The experience is really bad tho with staff watching over you eating . Cleaning is high standard. Lose the radio volume and staff watching people eat you will build your customer range
Was nice, not too expensive. The vegetables were nice but a little bit crunchy, the gravy was nice and there was a good selection of meat. The tables were a little cramped, we could hear every part of the conversations going on around us which a little bit distracting but it was very busy when we arrived.
Food was very nice and tasty. Good value for money. Carvery staff very helpful and pleasant. Bar staff need to be trained to be more friendly and smile to customers, instead of talking to their friends.
Just moved into the area and had to try this out. I did pick a busy day but the food was fantastic. Quick service and piping hot Carvery, much better than other places I’ve been to. Lots of families here which to me shows it’s a popular place with the locals.
Came here for my Mothers Birthday as we were considering eating Christmas lunch here. The staff aside from the bar staff seem very non existent, place is very unclean, gravy splattered up the window due to clientele. The small space for the carvery was like a cattle market, with bits of food being flicked all over the place. Eventually after getting our carvery the chefs threw the ladel back into the gracy which therefore splashed up my mothers clothing. No apology, no acknowledgement whatsoever. The worst is yet to come... there was an 11 year olf girl roughly in front who tasted the mint sauce spoon and placed it back inside. There wwre at least 4 members of staff on the carvery pass at this point who saw this happen and it had to take for ne to say something about it for them to change the spoon, let alone the actual pot of sauce. The sauce was then placed back into the fridge which i suspect will be used later on. The food was barely cooked and as a chef who cooks things to just cooked even for me they were rock-hard. To top the already rubbish experience off as we left the pub there was a fight kicking off. Disgraceful pub but probably good to the locals, never again. Disgusting. Sometimes its not just about the food, its the experience as a whole.
