As soon as I rang the doctors surgery 8AM I was somehow 9th in the queue which makes no sense for a start. Secondly the receptionist Carla has told me at 8.16AM that there is no available appointments left at my local surgery so I must go to Tutbury. That is not even the worst part. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting. She spoke to me as if she was looking down her nose at me. She has no consideration for a patients feelings or what they are talking to her about. I asked for a mid day appointment so she suggest 10.40AM, when I said that is not mid day, her response was "they have to have lunch too". I found this amusing because the next appointment time she offered was 3pm. After considering that is an awful long lunch break and told her that, she began to get smart and very pretentious towards me. I would recommend this receptionist either take a course on customer service skills or better yet, find a new job and stop making patients miserable with her words. Especially ones trying to find help for mental health.
Amazingly helpful in Reception. Very kind and welcoming. New to the area so it was lovely to be treated with genuine care. Very different to the Receptionist at Dove Practice in Tutbury who was unfriendly and awfully rude tossing forms at me with no explanation. Please don't confuse the two. Well done Sudbury for your empathy and kindness.
Pharmacy and nurses great. Receptionists polite and helpful. Doctors underwhelming. I’ve never been welcomed as a new patient on moving to this area 3 years ago - on my infrequent visits I’ve been treated with impatience and challenge, and they never kept to timed appointments. Very hard to park, despite a car park. I counted 9 cars practically filling the car park on a day when they weren’t taking face to face appts during lock down. Reception has so many posters and notices, it’s impossible to get any impact from any of them.
Very poor service, not able to get any appointments, if you get one its a telephone call and its always so short ,and it feels like doctor just dont want to speak with you "basically why do you bothering me"or gives advise what you could read on Google.If I known I would never register there, especially my kid, cant get any referrals to specialists or get any checks. No wonder all A&E are overwhelmed, because GPs like this.
Never get to see a doctor anymore. Even repeat perscriptions are done over the phone. Said no appointments last time I asked for one and the doctor upped my prescription without even talking to me and said I will have to ring for a appointment in 3 months time. Its disgraceful
Always helpful. A delightful rural practice where you can get an appointment in reasonable time.
Everybody at the doctors absolutely fantastic very friendly and very helpful thank you.
Poor, just dont answer the phone. Been on hold for near 2 hours in queue position 2
