My friend and I were hoping to pop in here for coffee early in the day, but it was so busy there was a queue outside. We ended up wandering around and exploring, eventually heading for the bus stop to go home. We missed our bus. So, having an hour to kill, we meandered back around and noticed The Dabbling Duck had quieted a bit. We went in and had tea and a hit chocolate. If we weren't full from our earlier lunch, we'd have loved to try their mouthwatering cakes! But my hot chocolate tasted rich and I really enjoyed it. A group of people all had the bigger versions of it with heaps of cream and toppings! The service was quick and friendly, and they welcome dogs! It was a lovely atmosphere and we'd love to go back sometime, hopefully with more friends for more hot chocolates and cakes.

Has perhaps become a victim of its own success! Staff not as attentive and welcoming as they used to be; coffees were lukewarm on Saturday which took some of the gloss off. Still a nice spot for a coffee, light lunch or tea but it feels rushed and overly busy on occasions.

Lovely spot for coffee and cakes. Especially for a group of mountain bikers on a snowy cold morning the yurt with a stove was brilliant . Thanks!
