We used to visit the Crown of Crediton regularly when we lived and worked locally and the food was always excellent. We had the chance to get our first takeaway in a long time and it was superb. It was piping hot, even after our journey home and each dish was so tasty. Our favourite is Pork Yuk Sung. It was every bit as good as we remembered. Pick up was via the back door in the car park and they only take cash which was explained when we ordered. Thank you for a lovely meal.
The food can at best be described as bland, tho the curry sauce was indescribable and I've had better tasting uncle Ben's rice. Sorry for the one star but it wouldn't let me give a zero rating
Worst Chinese I've had. 5 items, none of them had any taste. Hoisin sauce for duck pancakes looked and tastes like gravy. Bbq spare ribs came in a sauce that was 90% water. Save yourself the hassle of writing a review and get food from somewhere else. £35 spent and asked for prawn crackers to which I was informed that they were £2.50 a bag.
We eat here at least once a week, sometimes several times if we are feeling lazy. I have an odd list of intolerances so getting food out has always been a hassle, but the great thing about this place is that they will make almost anything to my needs. My personal go to is the spicy vermicelli noodles with certain ingredients switched out and a portion of prawn toast with seaweed. My partner recommends the vegetable chow mein and the meat spring rolls. They have always been very friendly, helpful and quick- which is great when you've had a busy day and want to relax with some fresh food. Highly recommended, literally just about to pick up a cheeky Tuesday treat as we speak.
This is literally the worst Chinese I have ever eaten in my life!!! My partner and I have just ordered from there, she had what was supposed to be sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style and judging by the consistency of the sauce I’m gonna take a guess that the chicken used died by drowning in it!!! She took 2 maybe 3 bites and it went in the bin, she didn’t even try one one of her bbq spare ribs because they looked that terrible!!!! I tried one of them and it was all fat. The Singapore chow mein i has was dreadful!!! Looked like it had been made with stringy packet noodles from Lidl, didn’t taste of anything at all and my curry sauce was a weird green colour, the only decent part of it was the fried rice and that’s probably only because it had been salted up to the max. Will not be ordering from there again, absolutely disgusting, I Willis avoid this place like the plague
Still providing the best Chinese food in the area imo :-
Terrible food, slow service. I'd almost describe it as inedible. When asked for our opinion, there was no apology, just said that peoples tastes are different.
Absolutely awful food was disgusting sweet and sour Cantonese tasted like it had gone off 3 months ago the sauce was like water the food had no taste to it and was simply bulked up with sweetcorn and had a gone off vinegary taste to it absolute waste of £40 chicken balls were stodgy inside and tasteless the crispy beef must of had a hard life it was tough more then crispy and may I add I feel slightly robbed like their fruit machine robbed me as well lol
Definitely the worst noodles in the uk my throat was sore after the doodles and found five hairs in my rice
Kind of slow service, small portions.. prawn toast was great, fried rice was tasteless. Wouldn't go again... Unless desperate
