Exquisite and lavish inside, filled with architectural and monumental delights it has to be one of the most ornate and impressive parish churches I have ever visited. There were 2 knowledgeable folk inside who very kindly pointed out some of the very special features including effigies dating to the 1300s a medieval sedilia still with some original colour on it and a beautiful Norman font. The stained glass is all stunning. An interesting mix of periods from Norman through to medieval and middle ages with quite substantial victorian restoration. It is grade one listed and I can quite see why. Delightful.
Such a warm inviting and vibrant place. I sang in the choir 40 years ago and came back to visit. It was wonderful to see again. One of the most beautiful Parrish churches in England.
Lovely Christingle service, supplied blankets because of the cold weather and a nice hot beverage and mince pie afterwards.
Lovely place. Bill Jerman showed us around. Was amazing how much history is here. Including our ancestors! He was truly amazing person.
Stunning, absolutely beautiful church. I was married here and all three boys were christened here. It's exactly the same as Exeter cathedral only smaller.
We are having to go back to visit the inside, the outside is so impressive to make you want to ho back. Such impressive architecture and colour and a graveyard too. There is a roof repair appeal, I hope it was not stolen. Stunning.
Saw the Christmas tree exhibition. The numbers in the church were limited due to covid and there is a one way system. Don't forget your mask! Refreshments served one building away.
Beautiful church with a really interesting history. This place was once more important than Exeter! Recommend the services if you like a more traditional CofE feel. The choir is excellent - I attended the Christmas Nine Lessons and Carols - the music was stunningly good.
I imagine that this is exactly what God had in mind when He was thinking "This is my house, therefore you all are welcome here". I found the congregation to be remarkably friendly and I was so very impressed by the choir. I felt welcomed into the fold.
Just imposing and incredibly Parish Church...
