Gorgeous traditional style station operated by GWR on the ex Southern railway to Barnstaple and the recently opened Okehampton route. The station has a well regarded Cafe, waiting rooms, departure boards and a footbridge to cross the line, step free access is via the level crossing at the east end of the station. Free car parking is available behind the station which is a ten minute walk from the centre of town. Platform 2 for Barnstaple and Okehampton, platform 1 for Exeter and beyond!
Horrible train station! You can only go to Barnstaple or Exeter, from there you have to change, no other direct services. It's annoying, stressful and hassle to have to change trains whenever i want to go somewhere.
old posters everywhere, very well maintained station
cute old station
Worth a stop at the station cafe, which is run by a CIC called Turning Tides Project..excellent cake and coffee and quirky surroundings....and loads of art on the walls. It is open 10am to 2pm Mon to Sat.
Clean Tidy Easy to use
Simple unmanned station on Tarka line to Barnstaple. 10 mins to Exeter Sr Davids. Very useful large FREE car park where car can be left for local or onward journeys. This is a quiet little under-used service linking villages in Mid & North Devon. How lucky we are!
Well worth a visit very well kept
Only changing the trains there so didn't see much of it
This station is really quiet, there's nothing to do here.. and feels a bit dangerous waiting here alone with just another dodgy looking passenger around.. the refreshments shop here decorated their surrounding area with mugs on trees, tyres as plant pots, a drumset as flower bays good effort and nicely maintained but it looks a bit odd to me.. the station itself is the historical type that looks like the buildings you'll see in old cowboy films, it's a 1 mile walk to the Crediton High Street from here, this is a dual track station, with a little interactive information screen showing train times the one where you can press to speak to an advisor, there are no toilets here.
