The Crown and Anchor
"Located in the lively Seven Dials area of London’s Covent Garden, the Crown & Anchor is a charmingly traditional style British pub spread over two floors. We are a great place to meet for a drink or a bite to eat with friends or colleagues, or to just rest your feet after a hard days shopping!Being a stone’s throw from most major West End shows, means we are perfect for a pre or post-theatre meal too with our kitchen serving a fantastic selection of traditional homemade pub food.We offer an exciting mix of continental lagers, traditional cask conditioned British ales, good wine and an enviable list of London gins."

Cosy atmosphere, delicious food and variety of beer options to choose from. Fish & chips was delicious, and the pie with liquor was very good as well. We had to wait for food quite long, however we were okay as the overall we were happy to enjoy classic pub experience and read the history about it.
On a dreich Saturday night in London it’s hard to find somewhere you can enjoy your time without a ten deep bar or teenager filled toilet but if there is an oasis of calm in the west end it’s the Crown and Anchor. Great selection of draughts and tables spread over two floors. It somehow manages to remain pleasant amidst the chaos. Friendly bar staff and outside drinking all a bonus. A great pub
Great experience. Good drinks, friendly staff, vegan and gluten free options. Able to watch soccer / football without sound, but if you’re looking for a more chill pub experience, it’s excellent.
This Traditional Pub and Restaurant located in the energetic Seven Dials area on Neil Street Covent Garden..as we choose this pub we first entered and walked upstairs to view the dining area and we almost decided to have a quick bite but we really wanted to enjoy our meal in this cozy space and we had a musical yo attend at The Donmar….so we seated ourselves in the main entrance area and really enjoyed our ales in a robust atmosphere and friendly environment…one of the best pub experiences in our 8 days in London..we will be back for some Traditional Pub Food..
Fun pub to hang out in with a great beer selection. Food was great too.
Best fish and chips and the wings are to die for. Get Hell's ale, tastes amazing. The staff are fabulous
Stopped off for a quick drink at the C & A and had a nice cold pint of Guinness. Nice pub with great atmosphere and quick serving bar.
Gin and Lemonade was my drink. Affordable, very nice atmosphere.. on a lovely street.
I've been going to this pub for over ten years or so, meeting a large group of mates about half a dozen times each year. I tried to book upstairs the day of the final England match in the World Cup, but apparently, no one could book tables. On arrival, I noticed a majority of the tables were booked from 18:45 onwards. I asked the bar staff why this was so, explaining the above. I was given an abrupt, see the boss reply! Come 18:45, the whole group of us were told to vacate the seats that we'd been occupying since 13:00. There was no place to stand, as new people walked in and took our places. We left the pub and have decided to make another pub our groups gathering place. Over 10 years just thrown out the window by a terrible attitude. Also, we noticed that because the pub doesn't take cash anymore, it's all card, and they've added a service charge onto every sale, but you wouldn't know that, unless you asked for a receipt. This means that since covid, they've sneakily added gratuities for handing a drink over to you. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I decide if I'm gonna give a tip, not the owner! I tip for great service, not handing a pint over! I wonder how many others know about that, as hardly anyone asks for a receipt at a bar!
Beautiful pub in the heart of Chiswick! Great selection of burgers on Wednesdays Burger Day, staff is very friendly and kind. Justin is very helpful! Highly recommended! 5stars
