Nestling in the heart of Somerset, Crossways offers fantastic food, excellent service, extensive facilities and easy access to varied attractions

Story

With an AA 4 star rating and newly awarded rosette, Crossways offers fantastic food, great service and easy access to some of the UK’s most popular landmarks, local attractions and destinations.

We cater for a wide range of guests, from families with children celebrating a birthday, wedding parties, corporate events, through to a few friends enjoying quiet drink and a ‘catch-up’ and a watering hole for ramblers!

Our head chef, Nick Cooper uses the freshest, locally sourced ingredients from Somerset suppliers to create a range of contemporary and classic dishes. He places as much importance on the preparation of a bar snack as he does for a full à la carte meal so you can be sure of a wonderful meal. Menus feature high quality dishes at great prices, all celebrating the best of the season with a wide range of starters, mains and desserts. We provide an à la carte menu and Sunday carvery as well as traditional pub classics served in the spacious dining room or at the bar, as well as an extensive children’s menu.

Crossways provides 13 en-suite rooms with HDTVs, free Wi-Fi, a beautifully appointed roof terrace and ample parking facilities. With three functions rooms, we can offer an ideal venue to hold a party for your family celebrations, anniversaries and weddings as well as company events. Our team has a wealth of experience in planning, decorating and hosting events. A great range of buffet style food is provided and prepared from the very best ingredients.

A pleasant room and a good nights sleep. But the next morning was a shocker!! The young lad who was serving me was totally incompetent with zero personality and unable to communicate properly. I waited 55 minutes for a simple breakfast to be delivered (in the meantime I was not offered toast like other people or any more tea) after asking three times when will it arrive I was told soon, we are busy today. No idea how customer service works and I left by the hour mark so never new what the breakfast tasted like. Anyone who takes an hour to cook a basic breakfast is as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Had to ask for the measly breakfast to be removed from my bill and the apology was some what lame. I was not the only one complaining at the reception last Sunday morning. 4 stars my backside - would advise all to stay away!!!

Quirky but pleasant. Refurbed rooms are comfortable and modern. Food was good. Some of the staff were inexperienced but it didn't spoil our stay.

Stayed in the Avalon Suite. A lovely room with a four poster bed and a huge balcony with views across to Glastonbury Tor, and a hot tub. Lovely evening meal in the restaurant and a filling cooked breakfast the next morning. A great stay.
