This was the 4th year that 10 cyclists and 2 non playing captains had booked the Cross. As always, Terri greeted us with a warm smile and more important, a cream tea, Lemon drizzle cake and endless supplies of hot tea. A perfect end to a long and cold cycle from Bristol. As we watched the rugby, enjoying our drinks from the bar, Terri came in with canapes, crisps and nuts - and had a selection for the vegetarian and gluten free contingent - all provided with zero fuss and at just the right time. Dinner was a three course masterpiece with a choice of puddings and lovely cheese board. As always the rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully and stylishly furnished with fluffy towels and endless hot water, This is a super high quality B&B and seems to get even better over the years we have been going, I leave the best 'til last.....breakfast. Oh goodness me!! The breakfast is whatever you want - full English, a huge array of cereals, cheeses, yoghurt and juices. The quality is excellent and everything is piping hot. Nothing is too much trouble for Terri and that is why we will always choose the Cross anytime we plan to be in that part of Somerset. It really is a super place.

Rooms are very clean and nice size. Amenities are of high standard. Hospitality is very good, lovely lady owner who is very attentive. Less than 100yds from the pub and village shop.

Very welcoming and beautifully decorated. Lots of original features but modernised to a high standard. Very clean and comfortable beds. Stairs are steep but that's what you get in a 400 year old building!
