We were in (well near) Wrexham, and had a look where we could get an evening meal locally. We picked The Cross Foxes, I guess because they had such good reviews. But we got there with an open mind (each), and we weren't let down at all. Staff were really nice and helpful. The food was excellent. And the place itself was very nice indeed. Absolutely no complaints at all. We even had a group of horse trainers in snug by the bar keeping us entertained while we waited for the food and ate. Though I can't promise they'll lay that on for everyone.

Lovely pub on the River Dee. Nice comfortable setting. Good service. Good real ales and wine selection. Disappointing menu as with all Brunning and Price pubs! Too clever by half! Needs more straight forward dishes with descriptions in plain English. The place isn't fine dining!

Excellent location and a varied menu. Lattes came with homemade flapjack bites. Lunch was all freshly made. Nice cosy atmosphere.

The food is nice with one of the best views you coukd imagine,looking over the river. The thing that let's it down for me is the choice of beer. They have standard beers at a premium price. The staff are nice a friendly and the toilets are really clean.

Martin and I went to Bangor on dee horseraces and called in here. It was fantastic the food was brilliant and the staff very attentive very pleasant all around. Just wish it had accommodation.... Definitely call again. Highly recommended.
