Beautifully decorated pub restaurant down a quiet country lane. Loads of seating in quaintly styled areas as well as a healthy amount of dining. Large garden area out back and a smaller one out the front. Staff are always pleasant and there's lots of them. Ample car parking and space around. A really nice place to visit
Fish and chips was good! The batter was light enough I didn't get sick of it which rarely happens. Waitress was really friendly and glad she recommended the fish and chips. Lovely pub and location too
Lovely warm atmosphere upon arrival. Beautiful country pub. Great for families and large groups. Had a lovely Sunday roast. It is a sister pub to the arkley in Barnet. Lovely service. If I had to be critical maybe the single toilet. Overall, Lovely food and service. Will come back.

The welcome we received was very warm and friendly. Unfortunately we chose to sit towards the rear, next to the toilets, at a quiet time. Whilst it seemed okay at first, it soon became obvious we'd made a huge mistake, as the waitress kept abandoning and forgetting us. She came to take our drink order but we weren't quite decided, so I asked her to give us another minute. After 15 minutes we had to go looking for her. The food was very nice, but the staff were all stood at the front chatting and seemingly forgot we were in. We declined a look at the dessert menu and never saw the waitress again. So no asking if we'd like another drink or the bill. After another lengthy wait, without seeing a sole, we decided to leave and pay on the way out. Shame really, because the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly, warm and polite but just lacked any attentiveness at all.
We popped in for lunch with 2 friends. Very busy, which is always a good sign and when I asked for a table in a quieter area we were immediately given a good one. Good menu, reasonably priced. All our food came quickly, very tasty and nice and hot. Waitress was extremely friendly and we all really enjoyed our time there. Happy to recommend it
An absolute gem of a gastro pub. Atmospheric, stylish, dog friendly with a fabulous menu & beautifully presented food. Well worth a visit!Food: 5/5
Pro: Nice little pub on the Old Cole Green Way. Nicely decorated. Good food, decent size portions. Kids menu available. Lovely little beer garden. Con: the service can be a little slow at times they get busy, and the wifi/phone signal isn’t great there.
