The staff were friendly & helpful BUT the venue is down a flight of stairs.I would'nt call the bar cool,it was rather small & though I had a comfy seat it looked in need of a revamp. It seemed rather disorganised before the gig. The gig itself was great however as others have said the music room was rather hot & airless. Would I come here again? Perhaps but only to see someone whom I desperately wanted to see.
Turned up to queue because of a first comes first serve gig. Told me there was tickets and a qr code to get in the artist said there were no tickets but that’s fine, misunderstandings can happen. Was told to go home and I completely understood and was going to leave but one of the people kept telling me off instead of letting me just leave, telling me to not come back and that because of me the gig was going to be probably cancelled just because I turned up early from what he said. It was quite a big over reaction in my opinion, as again, I wasn’t really arguing and I was going to leave. Also, I wasn’t able to find anything saying we couldn’t queue or I wouldn’t have tried that at all. Very confused by the whole situation and rudeness. Edit: as confirmed weeks ago by the artist, at the time I turned up there were no tickets and it was supposed to be a first come first served, but they were introduced after I turned up. I understand being concerned about 2000 people turning up at the same time and being concerned about your license, but there was no need to lie and make me feel bad for a gig being cancelled it was not cancelled in the end, but it still made me feel horrible because I felt like I ruined it for everybody just by being there. Furthermore, I appreciate a voucher being offered, but I don’t think I would ever like to step in a place where, instead of just being honest, people will just yell and get mad at you until there is a big enough crowd to who they can’t say anything to because at that point it wasn’t one woman against two men. I would like to also make it clear that I was there on my own, nobody else was there, and being told off and yelled at, considering I’m a woman, by a man twice my size wasn’t the best. There was another man with him but he just stayed in silence while the other yelled at me to go home and to not dare to come back. I felt quite intimidated and embarassed and I wouldn’t wish to risk meeting this person again, not even for an apology. Please learn to treat people with respect instead of trying to excuse yourself with reasons that could have been explained in the beginning instead of just yelling and lying about tickets and similar. Thanks
The venue is extremely warm, attended when it was eight degrees outside however it felt like I was in a heatwave, even the artist complained about it. Appears to have an AC however does nothing. The venue has no cell signal whatsoever so you will have no connection for hours, maybe there was wifi but there was no clear indication.
Nice intimate venue pretty fun aswell. Ericdoa show
Nice gem of a Theatre. Lovely little bar for a drink prior to the show.
I really like this venue as we went for Between Friends concert. My only concern is the ventilation of the venue as it was very stuffy from the middle of the concert onwards. My partner had to leave the room twice as she was about to faint even though this has never happened to her before.
Nice venue and can get close to small acts. Florrie was amazing. But the venue is FAR TOO HOT. I’m surprised people weren’t fainting and everyone left sweating.
Great little intimate venue, fab atmosphere and nice bar
Yet again, Mark Grey play Absolution Allowed for many twists and turns in the script. One big question - Who was the first paramedic identity????
It was sooooo hot in the Venue- seemed to have no ventilation what so ever. However bar area was quite nice.
