I was disappointed not to be able to look through a display of bus timetables. They are locked in the information centre with an admittedly helpful man. I know I'm a fossil, but I wanted to choose a selection of timetables so I could plan bus adventures to different places. The helpful man gave me a booklet with all Stagecoach routes in it, but I'd have liked to have been able to get a selection of Preston Bus timetables without having to make the poor man hang about while I dithered over my options. Surely a spinner could be popped outside the office at opening time and hauled back in at closing. Also, was it wise to site the office at one end of the bus station rather than in the middle? Suppose a person with limited mobility or time had to trail all the way from one end to the other, with the possibility of being directed to a stand pretty much where they'd started from, but perhaps hadn't seen because it was on the other bus apron ...
