Great local cafe with nice buzz and friendly service. I booked 30 mins ahead of arriving as it is usually busy on a Sunday and popular with locals. As you can see from photos, I opted for the all day breakfast and a large flat white guilty treat after a morning of dog walking. Breakfast was cooked to perfection eggs in particular and the coffee was really good. Potato scone, which was tasty, wasn't fried which might be a surprise to some didn't bother me. One improvement I'd suggest is to improve quality of sausage a notch - it was serviceable but really was the only disappointment on the plate - and with the breakfast - without coffee - coming in at £6.95, my guess is people would pay a notch more £7.50? for that. All in all, really enjoyed it. Great value and nice friendly neighbourhood buzz. I'd come back for coffee alone, but will definitely be back to try out other parts of the menu.
Managed to find a parking space after waiting a while for someone to vacate a space . I entered this very busy cafe and was met by a very nice staff member who got me a space explaining to me that I would have to be finished my brunch by 1pm as the table was booked which gave me an hour to have my soup and coffee, I was served very quickly The Coffee "Latte" and Soup vegetable was very tasty even though a bit pricey at over £7. Tables are bookable and I would advise to book to avoid disappointment. The menu looked great but I personally think the centre of town prices were a bit much. Parking: Being on a busy main road, the option is to turn into housing scheme and park outside someones home if there is any spaces.
Being out of town I didn't expect it to be busy, but it was. Our table had limited time available but food was served very quickly so wasn't really an issue. I only wanted a toastie but it was delicious. Served with salad and coleslaw which I never like with some crisps. Coffee was nice enough but very slightly bitter. Will definitely return in the future !!
A lovely place to pop in for coffee or something to eat. Only a couple of minutes detour from the Water of Leith walk at Currie, so a great little spot to reward yourself after a splendid walk!
What a gem of a cafe , Friendly staff great dining area superb menu .try the Chicken Fajita Tortilla you will not be disappointed and reasonably priced
We were looking for tea/coffee on our way home from Edinburgh. Mananged to get parked right outside. Very busy but a good atmosphere. Waitress quickly cleared a table for us. We had a brunch which came up quickly. Food good. Tea hot. Really enjoyable. Will use this place again.
Great service and friendly, helpful staff. Booked us in at short notice and food/drinks very tasty Indeed
The cafe is really cute, we received a warm welcome and the service was really good. We had a toastie which was ok. Since it was nearing the closing time they started cleaning which made us feel a bit uncomfortable, however they never asked us to leave.
Great wee local community cafe, good range of food and great service. No eggs Benedict tho but the coffee, full breakfast, fajitas and tostados are awesome.
Have to book table if want to sit in but can take away good food and pricesFood: 4/5
