Big meals very good value for money wasn't busy on a weds night and food out so quickly had the mixed grill was huge
Nice food, when we visited there was a few things missing from the menu but we were told when ordering and given options for substitutes. We enjoyed ourselves
Food was subpar. Had the saddest looking lettuce on my burger. Partners steak was over medium when asked for medium rare
The food used to be great here, absolutely disgusting now. All re-heated or deep fried frozen garbage. The first 3 things I asked for weren't available so went with chicken burger for my son which wasn't a burger but two chicken strips on a dry bun with soggy lettuce and I ordered the chicken wings and cheesy chips. The wings were deep fried, chewy with a what can only be described as "foamy" chicken flesh underneath. The cheesy chips were also deep fried to death, with a little bit of cheese on the top chips. Such a shame as it truly did have good food, but its went to pot now, won't be back.
We went on a Tuesday before Christmas. We hadn't been since pre-pandemic, so this was our first in probably 3 years. Whilst it wasn't particularly busy, there was quite a wait for food, around 45 minutes - this was advised when ordering. When the food came out, it was hot, well portioned, and of a good quality. The pub looks a little tired and run down and probably needs a refit. Overall the food saved the visit for us but wouldn't return in a hurry.
Went there on Thursday 3rd March and wished I’d stayed at home. The mighty mixed grill was cold and under cooked both of us were not impressed as for the kids meal the carrots looked black and dry. Who ever the chef was needs to go back to catering college. I don’t normally complain if one item isn’t too my liking but totally discussed with the restaurant’s quality of food. My advice is go somewhere else!!!.
We took our students for a Christmas treat. The food was great and the service was brilliant will definitely be back. Thank you for you hard work, the staff and students went away very happy xx
Had not been here for a few years and was excited to be going. But a disappointing visit. Little play area outside for kids had disappeared. And the small football pitch was locked up and appeared to be falling apart. Food was very cheap . But not great. Steak very chewy. Burger very greasy. And pint tasted horrible. Even I couldn't manage to drink it. I didn't complain as was very cheap and the Staff were freindly welcoming and helpful. And I ain't one to complain anyway. Just an honest heads up because my phone asked me to leave a review .
As a hungry horse, it is "good value" by which I mean cheap. So it can't really be compared to much more expensive places. The staff are nice and efficient, the WiFi works, but the tables are always a bit sticky.
There are many parking spaces, there are many indoor wide reclining seats, and there are equivalent food every day. This day is Wednesday, and the curry is equivalent. I ordered curry beef, which tastes not bad. Recommend this restaurant.
