A cosy place tucked away in Ilford - recently I went for a breakfast and I was extremely impressed. The food was delicious and presented very well. There were so many delightful treats on my breakfast plate. There was honey, fruits & berries with clotted cream, olives, halloumi, sour dough bread, avocado and much more!nThe place was buzzing with a great vibe although when it's busy it can get cramped but that's a good sign because the food is very tasty with very good portions. I'm not surprised people are willing to wait for a table.nI will definitely be returning here again.nThank you for a lovely experience.
Food: 4/5nThe prawn dynamite was a little strong on its own but wrapped in lettuce toned the flavour down. I ordered the grilled chops, which arrived warm not sizzling and were served with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and green beans. The Brisket Stacker was a bit too meaty for my taste, but the grilled chicken-hen burger was full of flavor. The kids enjoyed their fish finger and cheeseburger meals, and it was a nice touch that kids eat free with a main house dish.nnService: 5/5nNadia managed the front of house single-handedly and did a fantastic job. The restaurant got busy, and one of the orders was mixed up and delayed, but Nadia was incredibly polite, apologizing for the delay and serving with a warm smile.nnAtmosphere: 4/5nCould use a bit of renovation. The counter sticker was peeling, and the central tables felt mismatched. The restroom also needs better upkeep. That said, the place still felt cozy and welcoming.
I went here in November 2024, and it was okay. I ordered the Mediterranean breakfast plate and the loaded waffle desert plate.nnThe service was good, though it was quite busy the whole time we were eating and did have to wait around 20 minutes to get a table. The atmosphere is intimate and the decor is intentional. Seating is limited but they do have 3 booths in the restaurant that can hold larger groups. no more than 5/6nnThe food was okay, I was underwhelmed by the plate. It looked stunning and pictures well but was mediocre in taste and organisation. For example the cooked vine tomatoes were rested upon and leaked onto the fresh fruit on the plate they were placed next to each other the bread was also really hard to chew and too little of it relative to the other items on the plate.nnThe loaded waffle was really underwhelming, and I do not reccomend it. The waffle does not come whole but rather it was cut it up and scattered on the plate with berries and doused with milk and white chocolate sauces. It felt like a rip off dessert.nThe chai was also lazily made...nnOverall It’s worth a try but I would not go again.
Food was fresh and presented wellpicture perfect.nWe spent just over £30 for the 2 of us, which included 2 breakfast, 2 hot drink and 1 cold.nService was good.nWould happyily go back and try other stuff on their menu.
