Probably the greatest pub in the south of England
The Compasses Inn is situated amongst rolling Wiltshire countryside down a single track lane in a beautiful small hamlet surrounded by fields. The pub has been trading since the 14th century when it was used as a rest point for travellers distributing their goods picked up from the harbour in Poole, Dorset. This road can still be traced from there right up to Birmingham. Today, it offers high quality food (AA Rosette for Culinary Distinction), local real ales and cosy modern bedrooms in which to stay. It has an excellent reputation both locally and nationally.
