We had a wonderful two-night stay at The Commercial, St Just, and it was a good base for exploring West Cornwall.nnThe location is great—right in the heart of St Just Market Square, just a short drive from Land’s End, Sennen Cove, Cape Cornwall and the Minack Theatre. One of the biggest advantages is the free public car park only a couple of minutes’ walk away, which made travelling by car completely hassle-free.nnOur room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, with a lovely view overlooking the historic market square and church tower. The conservatory dining area is bright, spacious and very relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy breakfast or dinner.nnBreakfast was generous and freshly prepared, with plenty of choice. We also had dinner on both evenings and thoroughly enjoyed it—the fresh crab was excellent, and the crab pasta was equally delicious.nnStaff was genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our visit, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.nnOverall, The Commercial offers good value, excellent food, comfortable accommodation and a great location for exploring the far west of Cornwall.
Can't comment on the accommodation as didn't stay here. I was staying with friends near by and we went here for a couple of evening meals.nnFood was delicious and seemed reasonable priced.nnWaiting staff very friendly.nnThoroughly enjoyed the meals on two separate occasions.
Don’t let the exterior deceive you, inside is a well furnished welcoming hotel. We were on a walking holiday with our two dogs and needed to find somewhere for lunch so we gave ‘The Commercial’ a try and were glad we had done. It was a warm day and so we settled in a shady corner in their lovely garden. The hotel is very dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming. We ordered some food which was good quality and good value. Will come back and stay there on a return visit. Recommended.
Central Pub in St Just, serving food and drink. I bought cornish cod and chips that was amazing. I have never had such flaky tasty fish. The staff were very helpful and I recommend this place for drinks or meals out.
Just returned from an amazing stay at The Commercial everything from the moment we arrived to departure was fantastic. All the staff are helpful and friendly, the room was spotless and with everything you need. The breakfast was so tasty and sets you up for the day. Personally it felt just like being at home. The owner Michelle was so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough.
