The Codfather 0n all the visits we have made to it over the years, has given us good honest fish and chips. Allways. It gets from us five stars.

Staying in Silloth and looked up on Google for a good chip shop. The one in Silloth got the thumbs down so decided to have a 10 minute drive to Allenby and the Codfather.. best fish n chips in be had in ages... The Cod was £4.50 but what a whopper almost 10 inches long and an inch thick... Cooked to order... If you not big eaters share a portion as they give you loads.. my daughter got cheesy chips which she said we're spot on... Definately worth a drive... Also Allenby is great for an accessible walk so we did a mile or two and had our in the car after... Cannot reccomend highly enough...:))))?
