I was really looking forward to trying this place out, thinking I would be on the receiving end of a premium dining experience. Instead, the whole experience was extremely disappointing and a waste of my time and money. There was way too much sauce on the prawn starters, the steak was too dry I ordered medium, the chips overcooked and the dessert was poorly made & presented. What really annoyed me was the owner/manager trying to push a £150 steak on me when I originally wanted a steak in the region of £40. He was also sitting right in front of me having a chit chat with the staff wearing just jeans and a t shirt. Not very professional if ask me. The lighting was also very dim at the back where I was sitting, I understand they had the football on there but the place was almost empty and they could've turned the lights up for me while I was eating. As for the look of the place. The bar looked fine but the rest of the decor just looked tacky. The toilets could do with a bit more TLC and the windows need a good wipe. I was going to stay for the England vs USA match but there was no atmosphere so I left. And I won't ever be coming back.
Glad we could just pop in with out a reservation, around 5pm on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was nice a free which is always a bonus, as for the venue, it was pleasant and easy on the. It a good place to test your friendships with Vegan, that say they don't mind you eating meat, as it will a meat overload for them. The service was quite and it was nice to be acknowledge as soon as we walked in the door, mind you there weren't that many other patrons in at the time. After receiving our menus we were left alone for a suitable amount of time to choose what drinks we're having prior to ordering our starters and main meal. Our meats were cooked to almost perfection the chicken was absolutely fabulous, my beef burger need a little more seasoning, but otherwise it was very good, and the price reflects the quality and quantity very well. For me I could see this as good venue to start off the night with a large group of friends or family. If you just be the sun goes down you can get a bit artistic with the decor
First time ever eating at The Clubhouse in their new location. I'm a very fussy eater as anyone that knows me will tell you. I'm not a fan of cheese in my burger and am a real stickler for eating things I know. Tonight I had the 180 burger and it was the best burger I've ever eaten. Beautifully cooked, succulent meat and a perfectly cooked side of sweet potato fries with Biggie Sauce. I even snuck in a taste of the shredded beef loaded fries which was equally amazing. Great value for money and lovely friendly staff too. Looking forward to another visit in the near future. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian/ Vegan options available Kid-friendliness: I would recommend this place for children, there is a menu for children's options. Parking: There is public parking to one side and a private car park to the other side belonging to The Clubhouse Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are wheelchair friendly.
The food here was amazing. My husband had the single juicy Lucy which was so delicious. I ordered the T-bone steak but they gave me the porterhouse steak on the house. The steak was perfectly cooked as I asked for medium. We also ordered the pulled beef fries. Alexandra gave us excellent service and we didn’t need to wait too long for the food. I really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant too. Would definitely go back.
If you haven't been, you're missing out!! 5 stars isn't enough for this place. The food is insanely good. You need to try the braised beef loaded fries, they are just amazing! The burgers do not disappoint either, they are huge and just taste incredible. Dine in to make it a a special occasion, or get burgers and fries delivered, just don't overlook this place as you'll miss out on the best burgers and steak for miles.
An experience! Vibey, family owned and operated steakhouse serving up legit slabs of meat with smiley service. Owner is friendly and super passionate about sharing great steak with all who come. If you’re feeling celebratory, splash out on the cut-to-order, dry aged beef, and even though you may be coming for the steak, you might find yourself staying for the sides we ordered two rounds! the loaded fries are a must! We really enjoyed the relaxed approach to dining here. It takes time to select, hand-cut and properly cook meat, so embrace the experience and linger over your BYOB drinks! We couldn’t believe 3 hours had passed, we enjoyed ourselves so much and never were made to feel like we were taking too long - how dining out should be! So skip the hokey, wannabe, chain steak restaurants and support your local steakhouse - and all while getting blissed out on beef and red wine! Will definitely be back!
Delicious food! We had lots of starters and burgers with chips and drink and it was still under £15 per person. They offer really authentic beef burgers and beef cuts for you to take home also although we didn’t buy any. Delicious, halal, juicy, LOTS of variety!! I would say they do beef better than chicken. Definitely get their grilled halloumi with a delicious drizzle of sauce.
Wow wow wow, we celebrated my husbands surprise 40th birthday with 30 of our friends and family, and wow everything was perfect, the food was fantastic , the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble! They even played happy birthday as we entered the restaurant, everything was perfect. We were able to pre order our food , and everything just ran so smoothly. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you helping to make my husbands birthday so so special! We all had a wonderful time!
Hands down the best burger I’ve had in a long time. This place is a treasure trove for meat lovers. The lady who served us sorry didn’t catch her name was extremely helpful with the suggestions and made us the most delectable burgers. Azam, the owner took the time out to speak to us about our experience and seemed a thoroughly likeable and knowledgeable person. Already planning our next visit
Lovely tasting steak and good portion sizes. I went for the Fillet which was one of the cheaper options and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. If you've been to a Miller and Carter before, then this so much better. The staff were young and very new, but they were very friendly and did well. Spoke to the owner and he was very nice. Definitely coming back as I need to try the loaded nachos.
