Clean facilities, a bit limited for how much they charge you. Don't think I'll be using the spa facilities again if I have to pay for it separately. Small pool and "jacuzzi". Treatment was mediocre. Not worth the money I paid but willing to try a different masseuse and treatment to see if it is any better. Loved the swinging pods.
The great atmosphere has gone from the gym ever since they did the refurbishment. Now it feels more like the numerous, plain ones around the city. They do a lot of offers through different discount websites, so weekends are always busy with visitors. The pool area still very small but they do have couple of saunas and a decent steam room. The customer service has improved though but still no complementary herbal tea or coffee due to H&S reasons apparently!
Bought a voucher for my sister for her birthday so we could spend a relaxing day together. When phoning to arrange treatments and times, i experienced the worst customer service which appeared to stem from management. Calls were not answered and emails were not responded to. This was extremely frustrating. Eventually, when contact was achieved after days and days of trying, requested treatments and times were not achievable with no apology or suggested options, help etc. Utterly rubbish! We did attend although I had no treatment as voucher was non refundable, and no compensation offered despite the problems with the booking we encountered were the fault of The Cube. There were not enough loungers available uby the mouldy pool. We discussed this with reception, as we wanted to sit down in the spa not a high expectation!, who told us to use other customer's loungers while they were in the pool! They also said these customers shouldn't reserve their loungers while they were in the pool. I will never attend this poor excuse for a spa again and strongly advise you don't go either. In a nutshell... not relaxing, mouldy, not enough chairs and loungers, scum on top of pool, which stopped customers going into the pool, poorly ran, poorly maintained, terrible customer service, absolutely not what it says on the tin. Don't go.
Absolutely beautiful day. Staff where very helpful and the pool area was lovely and warm and a relaxing environment. I will be returning.
I could have had a better deal somewhere... and better use of treatment time... actual time of treatment is less. Therapists came late to take us to the treatment room. Consultation before treatment needs improvement.... it can be given just before getting in the room like in other spa places...Only 1 can do it if customers are coming as couple or group. Time of treatment should be exact as advertised. There's lack of information during consultation. Allergies not taken into consideration. After our spa day...My face had red patches after facial treatment... slight burn or reacted to treatnent. I also did not expect to pay extra £10.00 as an upgrade for couple...I had no choice but to pay the extra rather than losing £128.00 if I don't use my voucher... We just wanted to have the treatment in one room as couple but charged extra... lunch is only a choice of salad, pizza or pasta... 1 course meal, small portion... of course pay extra again for appetizer, drink or desert. The lady that served us during lunch was really kind. The Manager offered free use of towel and bathrobe. After care info was helpful and a glass of water in a cup was offered and we are grateful. A Bottle of water would be a fantastic treat. Overall, I don't think it's a good deal. I just read some reviews... and I am not surprise to hear other negative reviews
Everything keeps breaking at the Faulty Club and Spa Towers, faulty towers is run more efficiently than this gym is. We have had no air conditioning working inside the gym for weeks now, and the poor tired state the treadmills are in with broken handles. The lack of space in the gym is really off putting people literally training on top of each other with two pieces of equipment available to use due to the size of the gym floor, My local corner shop is bigger than this gym. Unfortunately the Sauna don’t fair any better. The main Sauna has been broken and out of action for nearly 3 weeks now with a tatty looking sign stuck on the sauna room door. The spa/pool area is always dirty with black mould on the pool area ceiling and the smell of damp in the air, surly this has to be a health hazard for everyone using this area. The steam room drain is always blocked and the water backs up inside the steam room floor, you can clearly smell the drain disgusting smell in that room. The pool doesn’t fair any better either the water looks green you can see the chemicals floating on top from everyone coming from the spa treatments, the steam room keeps breaking or has a lack of steam at times breaking every few months later. What was more annoying was going to the spa two days ago and having no running water. So couldn’t shower. The staff member made a lame excuse of having no water pressure, if they knew this was the issue why not close the gym and spa down for the day. ££££ clearly!!!! The weekend whilst other gyms in the area are either 24/7 or close at 23:00 The club and Spa closes at 20:00 come on get with the times, people want to be able to use the gym when they are able to get to it. This gym is getting worse by the weeks. With paying premium membership it most definitely is not premium services or premium facilities/equipment available it’s just run to make £££.
I have been here twice for spa days. Nice, clean facilities with steam room, sauna and pool as well as hanging pods in the relaxation area, which are nice. The optional additional lunch in Marco Pierre's upstairs is lovely, and probably the highlight of the day. I would reccomend anyone booking a day to opt for the lunch too. However, there are a couple things to note about this place; Point one is service - I had booked and paid online, only to turn up and find that the treatment I had booked pedicure was not actually offered. The staff were initially very dismissive and rude, not even offering a refund, so I do see where bad reviews come from, but the manager was very good and sorted it out really well. I think I was lucky he was there. The second point is the space - this is a SMALL spa and they do tend to over book it. Both times I have visited, it has been filled by hen parties or just over filled and very loud. I couldn't get a lounger and it makes it not very relaxing. Personally, I would go here myself when I need a treatment or swim as it is close and convenient for me, but I would be nervous about a spa day gift, as you can't guarentee it won't be over crowded.
Came here today for a 60 minute full body massage. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Emma was fantastic, she regularly asked if the pressure was okay and was lovely and chatty! Pool, sauna and steam rooms were very lovely. We picked a good time to go as it was very quiet. I will definitely be returning to this lovely spa.
Went here on Friday and it was my first spa experience so didn't know what to expect. The spa was very clean and I felt at ease straight away. The young lady Laura H did my signature massage and she made me feel relaxed and the experience was amazing. I read some bad reviews before I went and I think those reviews were very unfair. I'm already planning to go back.
The gym is small but has good equipment and is never too busy to do a full workout, however there are 3 treadmills currently out of order which have been like this for many months, they should be repaired by now but they are still not. The pool is ok but it is in need of maintenance, they have 2 jets that shoot water which used to need switching on but now they are always on. They should be done so they can be off to allow more swimmers as with them on you can only have 1 swimmer. Overall it's ok but maintenance and repair is needed to make it better and more worth the money as it is too expensive at the moment given it's flaws. Edit. I note that they have done more work to improve the overall quality of the gym and the facilities. They are handling out of order machines more efficiently and they have sorted the jets of water in the pool so it can accommodate more, they are also building a new steam room by the look of things, now they need to sort the small waterfall out as it shoots jets of water out too far making it inconvenient for swimmers
