The Clothes Horse Bridal Room was taken over by myself at the end of last summer. It is such a shame that an awful review was put on here just before I took over. So just to make it clear, none of our brides leave my shop feeling anything but happy and well looked after. Our collection of gowns, accessories and stunning selection of hats are a sight to behold. I would definitely recommend this bridal shop. After having a bad experience elsewhere, where I was made to feel like a second class citizen and not worthy of their shop, I was recommended by a friend to try The Clothes Horse. I arrived feeling very wary of a repeated experience. However this was not the case. The lady I dealt with made us feel very welcome and relaxed. I have not yet ordered my bridal gown but the service I received today was brilliant and I think this deserves to be acknowledged.

If you would like an enjoyable wedding dress shopping experience.....DO NOT go here. On the rare occasion that I can get my bridesmaid together from all over the country, we travelled to Bath especially to try a particular dress on in a pearl rose. I called twice to confirm they had it and they assured me they did. The greeting I got was less than friendly from who I can only presume was the manager! The young lady who helped me was uncomfortable and nervous. I didn't feel that she offered any advice or guidance and could lace the dresses up correctly. What's more, I was then told by the manager, whilst she ate an orange and dribbled it down her shirt, that they had lent the dress I wanted to try on to a florist!!! If I could get over there in time I could try it on there!! The shop floor was disgustingly dirty and whilst I was changing (member of staff from down stairs), a man came upstairs and walked right through the changing room area. There was no apology for this or for not having a single dress in the colour I had requested to see. Thankfully my maid of honour made a call to another Bridal shop who were happy to accommodate me at short notice. When we left, the manager was slumped and leaning on the desk and was very icy with me. I left in tears!! Thankfully the other shop turned my day around and I found my perfect wedding dress and bought it outright!! Avoid this shop! The staff and shop is awful!!!!! Other shops stock Maggie Settori dresses in Bristol and they are lovely.
