Went here for an amazing magic show experience by Mind fek Dublin. The clockwork door also has gaming rooms and stuff. You can buy your membership and enjoy the whole day and keep yourself engaged with the activities they offer. The membership for a month is for €75 and €25 for a day.
First time going there and it was the best decision to celebrate my birthday there! Staff was amazingly kind. We were 6 people doing the Witch's escape room and it was super fun!! I would say that 6 people is too much if you are afraid of crowded spaces, but it was super well ambiented, full of surprises and also handmade!! Manager was super attentive. I loved it and will definitely come back
Came here in a group of 4 people to do the Alice in wonderland escape room it was fantastic from start to finish, exciting, engaging and really made you work your brain. Fantastic staff and so friendly and helpful. We came to do one escape room and ended up doing both! A great idea would be to come with a group and each go into one escape room and race each other to see who finished first and then swap rooms. Will definitely be back again!
Love this place . Quest is my new and interesting experience. Our quest had the theme Alice In Wonderland. I liked the atmosphere and decor of the room and the staff is very friendly. In a good company of friends, fun is guaranteed.
Unusual place with big collection of board games. The escape room Alice in Wonderland is really good, better for 3-4 people.
One of a kind place with board games lots!, video games, music instruments, an escape room, coffee, tea and snacks and just all around great vibes. According to the staff you can even order food there. The people who keep this clockwork running are passionate about it and that's always great to see. I'll be coming back for sure.
The best place in Dublin. I was wrecked and not feeling well and knowing that I could just come in, make myself a cup of tea, and sit quietly on the comfy couch with no pressure was a godsend. I'm always dragging my friends here to play the board games too, it's a real gem.
Lots of fun playing the escape room, definitely discovered that I am not Sherlock Holmes reborn Love the little events they have here and if you're ever around in town needing to kill some time it's a nice play to just chill, vibe and maybe play some boardgames
Our first escape room and it was amazing highly recommended for a fun time out or a date like we did staff are engaging and friendly the Alice in wonderland room is so much fun and we can’t wait to come back to see what else they have to offer
Off the cuff - the space is lovely overall and the people we met were great. However, our escape room experience in Alice and Wonderland was average - we're experienced escape roomers at this stage, having done several in Dublin and one abroad. Firstly, the door is not closed for unspecified 'health and safety reasons'. This wouldn't be much of an issue if there were separate rooms, but it's one small space and the door leads straight into the main corridor where there's footfall and conversations and the buildings main toilet. It's very distracting. Zero reason for it either. I've always been utterly locked in rooms. Secondly, despite figuring out what we had to do, the condition of the unit in which you had to perform a magnetic challenge was shoddy which meant what should've taken 2mins, took more than 10mins and required two separate staff interventions, including giving us more magnets. Not conducive to flow at all. I think it's imperative that if you have a room like this, everything is working in a well oiled fashion which brings me to the next point. Some of the locks are beyond their use by date. I know combination locks are finicky and loose but these were just old and needed replacing. This is the first time in all of our escape rooms where we had to be told actual answers. In other rooms we've taken clues, sometimes two but we've never had to be given straight up answers - we've always figured it out eventually. I think this is because there's a slight disjointedness to the clues and tasks, and they lack the sequentiality of other rooms. To correct this is something that might required an outside eye - when you create these puzzles, the sequence is all too obvious to you so it's hard to see the wood for the trees. Overall the concept is not a bad one but the room definitely lacks the finesse of all the others we've done. It's also expensive at €75 for two people. With a little work it could be greatly improved but as it is, I can only give it 3 stars.
