The Cherry Tree
"The Cherrytree is a family run pub in the heart of Walkinstown, originally established in 1953. The McGeough family have been behind the bar since 1979, when Ted McGeough took over the O’Meara’s pub in Parkgate St.Since then the family business has grown strong, taking over the Cherrytree in 1998 from Murtagh Properties, this marked the passing over of Dublin’s last Guinness Brewery pub.It remains the families intention to uphold and maintain the great Guinness traditions, now Diageo of course. You will now find Gerry and Austin McGeough and their team behind the bar waiting to serve you."

Love this pub. Has always been my favourite local. I was out of the country for over 10 years and Cherrytree was the first place I went when I got back. That creamy Guinness hadn't changed 1 bit. Amazing pints. Staff are all good folk 2. Highly Recommend
We were at a 21st there last Saturday. Its a fine size room. Gerry and his staff are very nice and helpful. The food platters were lovely.
Good pints, outdoor area has good heaters and well covered
Food and drink, wood fired pizza available as well. Very nice staff
Was there for the portugal game, real bar, real characters. First pint in there for a while. Before I had my cancer, never passed the outdoor coffee dock for my caramel latte always pleasent staff.
Recently came down for lunch to the Cherrytree and was so pleased I did! I went with the salty buoy sambo which is pickled beef brisket on freshly baked bread all made in house. Found out the kitchen has been taken over by a baker and the breads and other treats are to die for. If you are in the area defo pop down for a bite or a coffee from the guys at brother and treat. 10/10 cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! Well done to all involved- delicious!!!
Went for lunch here in the Cherrytree the other day and my God the sambo was amazing. Had the "A touch of Italy " with added chicken and it was 10/10 the fried potatoes and side salad were just an extra bit of yum. Will be back next week for sure... salty boy here I come.
Always great atmosphere no matter when we went. Staff are all very friendly and chatty. Love going there for a nice pint!
Great pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Seems like it's heavy on the locals coming in daily - something like Cheers. The staff are really friendly.
