Stopped here for lunch on a lovely Sunday lunch time. As the weather was good, the pub was very busy. Found a table in the garden /patio area which suited us with 3 dogs. Dogs are allowed inside too in most areas. Large selection of food. We had mushroom and brie ciabata which came with salad and lattice fries. Nice salad and dressing. Food came out really quickly. Sometimes a worry when that is the case but everything seemed hot and fresh. Inside the building is quirky and historic. There is parking across the road specifically for patrons which was quite muddy in places. Lovely area for walking your dog at. We walked along the sea wall.

Lovely old pub. Huge selection of food and very quirky how the menu is hung up on blackboards all over the walls. Very cool. Lovely little fire on with a beautiful locally sourced lunch... Can't go wrong 👍

Our favorite places to go. Great food options. Dishes are on the large side. And are fab quality with use of fresh and local ingredients. Cosy fireplace and great ales.

Everything you want from an English Country pub is here, history, charm, open fire, fantastic food and super friendly staff. Couple this with friendly clientele and you will be hard pushed to find a better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend The Chequers Inn. Book or arrive early is my advice, then enjoy.
