I can honestly say that this is the best Roast I have ever had. The quality and quantity of a full Sunday dinner with all the trimmings. We went just before Xmas so had pigs in blankets and creamed leeks. And muled cider. Our Table of 12 all agreed to return as this is quite literally the best place for a roast. Amazing....................

We went as it's wheelchair and dog friendly which is a hard combination to find. Haven't been for a while and they've had a bit of a refurbishment in what was the children's area (where you had to sit with your dog) making it much more cosy and pub like. It's lovely. The staff very welcoming and the food was very good. So glad we came and Mabel dog enjoyed the treats from the jar on the bar 😁

Newly refurbished. Good pub, good food, good beer and excellent service. Also dog friendly. I would advise booking because it was quite busy at lunchtime when we went there midweek.

This was the second time I have visited this pub since the new ownership and to be honest both times I have received poor service, on this latest occasion I went with my partner and his family for his birthday, and on this latest visit we were welcomed with constantly having to ask the waitress for drinks and even had to ask the waitress if we could order our food after waiting 10 minutes with the menus in our hands. completely felt like we were forgotten........... After this we finally had received our food. But again this was poor value for the kind if money they expect us to pay, this concluded not even warm food, peppercorn sauce that was very much like water than a sauce. After we gave the waitress our constructive criticism, we were shocked to then have the waiter giving us attitude and what felt like no respect as customers. Will not be visiting again.

Starters were tasty and looked nice. The main was lovely I had the belly of pork would have again really lovely my wife had the fish and chips which see enjoyed this but the triple cook chips no so much I say cook chips once and do it right. Dessert she had a cointreau ice cream which she liked I had the rum Yule log no taste of rum and i felt very over priced for a bit of cake would not have dessert again.but overall a nice meal in nice surroundings.
