Imaginative, stylish, tasty menu. Comfortable, quirky furnishings and decor. Great welcome and fab service. Loved loved loved the aoli and chips. OH really enjoyed ham, poached egg with hollandaise sauce with bubble and squeak. Outstanding.
Great menu bit different...love that they do a small plate option. The Chequers Team are lovely friendly and funny. Spacing between tables inside is v.good if your worried....eating outside is an option too. I woukd have scored 5 stars toilets need a revamp!
Had a very nice lunch l choose slow cooked belly pork, made a nice change. Service was slow but that suited us as we were not in a hurry although the seats were not that comfortable. We sat outside and someone was smoking a cigar not pleasant.
Great food. Nice outside seating area although can be noisy with traffic. Friendly waiting staff, knowledgeable about allergens and happy to speak to chefs. Vegan burger was delish- almost a pakora/bhaji rather than meat substitute which wasn't expected but great nonetheless.
Parking is tight, nice pub, food nice but not a great choice on menu and only one starter and one main for a vegan
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and good value. We had questions regarding a dairy allergy and as the chefs prepare most items on site they could answer with complete confidence - very reassuring!
We had a nice meal at Chequers on Saturday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was slightly disappointed with my vegetarian burger as it had oil dripping from it.
