We visited for Mothers Day lunch today and were very impressed. The lady who served us, Fran, was very attentive, and despite being very busy, nothing was too much trouble! The food was prompt, hot, and very good portions. Everything we ordered was delicious!! We were a little worried as we have been to other places on previous mothers' days and been very disappointed, but the Lamb Inn definitely delivered! The flower pot dessert was fun and very tasty!
Nice dog friendly pub with a big beer garden. The menu was a bit restricted, I think due to staff illness leaving then short staffed, even though I managed to find some nice food. The calamari starter was a good portion but possibly a little overcooked. The signature burger was amazing with a sweet maple pulled pork in there too. Portions were great and cost was around what I expected. Service was a little slow due to being short staffed but not the end of the world. The pub is dog friendly and supplies water bowls for them if needed.
Had a lovely afternoon here today, the sun was shining the wine was flowing and the atmosphere was great! Lovely big outside eating and drinking area, very dog friendly which was perfect as we took our pooch with us.Very clean, helpful staff and the food was excellent, the pictures are of our dinners, seabass with mashed potatoes and veg,and hunters chicken with triple cooked chips.....yummy The area is really beautiful not far from the sea and so peaceful
Had a engagement party here. Think we made a big mess. Good venue too host a small party. Enough space to have a dj band and a little dance floor. The team was very helpful with Decs and balloons. Just got to give a couple of shout outs too Kate for sort our drinks out all eve Sharron for the food Chris for making it happen
First time visit and we really enjoyed this country pub. Really can't beat sitting next to a log fire enjoying great food and service.
Bit disappointing today. Roast dinner not the best. Spuds hard and not crispy. Pork belly very fatty. Needed more roasting. Brocoli very hard. Cauliflower cheese very hard cheese?? . Anyway very nice service.
Had an amazing experience. Lovely staff, good food and dog friendly. The Christmas lights created a fantasical atmosphere. Leigh, Kate and Chris made sure we had a wonderful anniversary out, the kitchen cooked some extraordinary food the house burger, sea bass and brownie were gorgeous.
Our waiter was fantastic. Upbeat. Cheerful and friendly. We liked that we didn't feel crowded at our table and there was plenty of room between tables. We were not rushed and given breathing space between the main and dessert. My beef wellington was a bit over cooked for my liking but still tasted beautiful. And maybe an offer of a tad more gravy. Otherwise I fantastic meal.. My step mum had the cod and we didn't realise there was fennel in the sauce, something she just can't eat. Which is a shame as her dinner looked delicious.
For two of our party of three it was our first visit and we were all pleasantly surprised by the comfortable setting in the restaurant. We were impressed by the parking provision too. We were welcomed and well-served throughout the meal by Kate. Our choices of food were all produced and served to a high standard and pleased us all. We benefited from the restaurant being quiet at that time, so we able to converse in comfort. Following substantial main portions, it was excellent thinking to provide mini deserts with coffee.
A well established pub/restaurant located off the busy A259 between Bexhill and Eastbourne this has always been a reliable pit stop in the summer for a drink as well as a large seating area for big groups. A warm welcome greated us and we were taken into a warm and cosy seating area. Drinks and orders were taken quickly and food arrived hot. Menu wasn’t massive but a good choice of various pub style food items. Staff were friendly and quick to serve. I had a pizza which had a hand made rustic feel. A good amount of topping the size was good for the price. Only thing to watch is that coffee is served HOT….And when I say HOT watch yourself!
