Great place to make your own entertainment. What’s not to love.
Get in there! Good old manny pub full of character/characters. Leave your craft beer hopes at the door, have a Guinness.
I have been drinking in pubs in the UK for 48 years. I have drunk in bars in Andalusia, the South of France, Southern Italy and Paris. In Switzerland and Munich - in Holland and in Belgium. In San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Baltimore. The Central Bar is the ultimate bar. Go there once in your life. Karaoke is on Sundays
What a fantastic place .. old fashion but fantastic atmosphere..staff friendly and locals made you feel welcome.... definitely returning to this bar

If you are a local leither and are here to complain about noise. Please join me in contacting Edinburgh council to put a stop to the noise from this bar’s PA system leaking out their front door, keeping the whole of leith awake every weekend. It’s a joke honestly, turn down your pa speakers in the bar area and shut the front door. The noise is leaking out and bouncing off annoying all the neighbours.
Fairly basic "square bar in the middle" but nice and open with plenty of room. Bar staff nice and friendly, nice pint, clean facilities and easily accessible. The only downside was "cash only" at the bar but the saving grace is the close proximity to a cash point. Overall, nice place.
