Typical restaurant experience means you like the way it’s worded on the menu because the words appeal to your taste buds but this place satiates those taste buds but on an explosive level! A little private details ... We booked our reservation for the next night while finishing off our dessert as we unbutton our pants from a meal full of absolute goodness! Three nights at the same restaurant while on holiday and leaving Ireland knowing this was our best food in Dublin!!
Discovered this gem while on my first night of vacation with my dad. So glad we did! We did not have a reservation but were able to be seated right away. We got the last free table. Everything else booked. Knowing that I would definitely make a reservation next time. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was lovely and delicious. We started with the Fried Squid appetizer. The coating was not overwhelming as some places can be. It it was very light and just enough. My dad have the Cioppino which I think might be one of the best that I've had. The broth was incredible. My only call out here was that a nice piece of crusty bread would have been good at the end to soak up the rest of it. Or maybe a straw! it was so good! I could just live off of that. The shellfish was so fresh, you could literally taste the ocean. I had the Pan Seared Seabass. Divine. It was perfectly seared with crispy skin. The fish was light and flaky. I was given three pieces of fish that I couldn't even finish. I tried though! It came with a roasted red pepper, olive and caper remoulade which was a good accent to the dish. It was also served with baby potatoes, which were good, but I was too focused on the fish and my dad's cioppino! On another note, there was also some roasted fennel on top of the seabass, really really good. Overall, I highly recommend! Loved it!
Great cozy restaurant near the Clayton hotel. The beef ribs are excellent. Good service.
Probably one of the best Rib eye and bernaise I've had, along with a flipping good sundae day and wonderful service.
Excellent pub/restaurant. Perfect Guinness pour and proper prices. Wings and fish & chips were on point. Some of the best I had in all of Europe! Def will visit again.
Came here yesterday for a lunch on Spanish time; had the gambas and a glass of a very nice Rioja. Here we are back again today, and this time I had rabas called calamari because, well, you know and a glass of Albariño. Both the gambas and the rabas were the best I've had outside Spain, and in fact the rabas was as good as any I have had even in Spain Santander or Madrid. Seriously. Tender as. Part of that is the freshness of the ingredients, of course, but the skill of the chef is paramount. Perfectly prepared. And the wine was lovely, too.
Exceptional food! Staff are very accommodating, possibly the nicest chicken wings I've had in Dublin also.
I love the Canal Bank Cafe. The wings are fantastic and I love that there's a smaller bowl available now. All of the cocktails were fantastic, the presentation is alwals 10/10. Service is always friendly and on the ball. Can't fault the experience. I would eat the canal bank wings every day!
Very friendly staff, amazing food. What’s not to like?
Best chicken wings you’ll ever have.
